It seems most of the casinos I’ve been to in the past 10 years were mostly smoke-free except for a few areas.

I just remembered that I’ll make a third 2022 visit to a casino in October. The B-52’s will be playing in Atlantic City in October and we bought tickets a few months ago. We’ll probably spend at least one overnight there.

No interest in casinos or gambling. Even the couple of times I was on a cruise ship with a casino I ignored it. I don’t buy lottery tickets either!

Is that like having a pee-free section of a swimming pool?

I think she's referring to the whole casino being smoke-free, not a non-smoking section of a casino.

Every public building in Ohio is smoke-free - that extends to casinos as well. Granted, you usually have to pass by a cloud of smoke by each entrance ;)

No, I mean 90% of the slots and table games are smoke free. There are smoking sections in a few areas of the casino floor. Signs indicate where smoking is permitted.

One casino in Atlantic City, The Revel, opened about 2012 as 100% smoke free, even in outside patios and near entrances. It might have been one of a dozen contributing factors why they closed within two years.

Another factor was the attitude and general vibe of the place. It seemed that unless you were willing to drop $500+, they didn’t want you there.

It’s now The Ocean Club, which is where the B-52s will be appearing in October.

I haven’t been to Atlantic City since 2018, when I went to see a band recommended by the former poster Gumbo.

The ONLY thing I liked about Covid was they took smoking out of our casino and I highly doubt they will bring it back.
Interesting. I frequent Cruise Line forums and on ships with casinos there was a lot of controversy when they halted smoking. And they required masks too, you were only allowed to drop the mask if you were actively drinking.........and apparently they REALLY enforced the actively drinking part. You could take a sip, but the mask had to go back on between sips. Smoking is back in most cruise ship casinos that I am aware of.

We've got a casino here, but I've never been to it. I have been to Las Vegas a couple of times and the casinos are definitely not "my scene." I did find a quarter on the floor once, so I left that casino with more money than I went in with. Does that make me a winner? 8-)

Not a big gambler, yet I sort of like them. Don’t go on a regular basis, but have been to quite a few over the years in several different locations, including CT, Atlantic City and Las Vegas. I don’t like when they are smoky.

I usually play poker slots because it requires you to think a bit, more than just pushing a button. DH will sometimes play craps or blackjack, as well as slots. We set aside a designated amount of money, consider it as entertainment, and quit if/when it’s gone.

I don't really gamble, but we go every year to the one in French Lick, IN. It is more for the Christmas decorations and hotel more than the casino itself.

That's too bad about them bringing back smoking. I've talked to several people I know at the casino I frequent who are smokers and they're glad there is no smoking. They do have designated areas outside where they can smoke.

CT casinos are smoke free. I didn’t know others still allow you to smoke. Interesting.

Casino gambling always seems like a topic that most have an opinion about. If an adult likes to go to a casino and gambles responsibly that really shouldn't be anyone else's business. Who cares how someone else chooses to spend their entertainment dollars? If I don't care to go to movie theatres to watch a movie, I don't go around bashing people who do enjoy that.

I didn't read the whole thread that closely, but I don't recall any bashing? Just people saying if they like casinos or not.

Not opposed to gambling or casinos. Just don’t like to lose large sums of money.

So a casino destination isn’t that appealing to me. If I find myself in one I will limit my loss to maybe $100 or less. I have been known to win $20 and cash it. I then will go buy myself a cocktail and enjoy!

All our our casinos in California are Indian casinos and are exempt from laws banning smoking. I think most if not all have a small, non-smoking section, and many prohibit smoking in their hotel rooms, but most of the gaming areas allow smoking. Smoking, gambling and drinking just seem to go together. My mom did frequent one casino in Reno that went non-smoking, but it didn't last very long.

I've never been to a real casino and cannot call myself a gambler. I do play a little. I most often visit 메리트카지노 and choose something easy. However, I gamble just for fun and really rarely. My purpose while playing is never to earn money but to have fun. So when I lose, I know that I paid for having fun, and not to win.
