1985! I had a good senior year with my group of friends, my art classes, and generally just having fun. I don't wish to relive those days, but I wouldn't mind going back for a short visit.

Gerald Ford, the first President to serve who wasn't elected, was President.
People were mad because gas prices had JUMPED to 57 cents a gallon.
Minimum wage had JUMPED to $2.10 an hour .
I went away to a private University, tuition, room and board and books for my Freshman year came to $2,500.
Best selling song was "Love Will Keep Us Together" by the Captain and Tennille

1985! It was a great time to be a senior.

I graduated in 1979. My most lasting memory was the BLIZZARD of 79, which meant 5 snow days over 2 weeks, which meant one full extra week of school which meant instead of graduating on my birthday, I graduated one week later. I never looked back!!I

I’m from Ohio and graduated in 1980 and I remember that blizzard!

Mid-90's.

The more the world goes downhill, the more I'm glad we grew up in better times. Parachute pants, MTV, and jelly shoes were the real secret to keeping the US safe during the Cold War, it's true. Today we have Covid, Facebook, and messes galore. Someone wake up Skynet and order in a Terminator uprising already.

And I absolutely LOVED my senior year!

Our daughter was Class of 2018 & has one more semester of college left.

Our older son was Class of 2019 & has 2 more semesters of college left.

Time goes fast, & you don’t even realize how truly fast it’s all flying by.

W/ both of our 2 older kids, the 4 years of high school went the quickest. When they’re in elementary & even middle school, it seems like you have forever, then, suddenly, they’re in high school &, even more quickly, they’re graduating.
