Sinus revolt when in WDW!

I am from the Midwest and I am very used to temps in the mid 90s and humidity levels of over 75% for weeks on end, so I was surprised that when visiting WDW in August, my sinuses went into total revolt. I normally use nasal spray a few times a week only at bedtime so that I can sleep (I use a C-Pap machine so my nasal passages need to be clear), but while in Orlando, I had to use the spray 2 or 3 times a day! We're planning another trip next year and I am looking for some advice on how to handle the congestion. Anyone else deal with this?

If you don't take a pill - like Claritin D - you may want to for a few days before your arrival and then daily during your trip. This may help you stay ahead of anything.

I feel for you. It happens to me in Florida too. Flonase and Allegra(generics)work for me. Extra Advil for the swollen headache feelings.

Start your allergy regiment before arriving.
DRink lots of water and perhaps consider a netty pot to flush ur sinuses.
Refrig type Facial masks at night or in morning might relieve that pressure feeling.
Obviously clear all thru ur dr.
Good luck... ur not alone in this issue

I appreciate all of the advice, but seriously, no headache, no pressure, no coughing or watery eyes. Just nasal congestion. I become a mouth-breather. So weird...

So, if you don't have any health issues, a decongestant would probably work best for you.

I'm like you too - also have chronic sinusitis though.

I'd recommend a neti pot twice a day (I use mine in the shower in the morning then before bed). Don't take any other medicine before talking to your doctor, though (Claritin-D can raise blood pressure so don't take it if yours is high).

My sinuses go wonky whenever I travel.

Had this happen upon return from WDW last year. All if May through September. 2 regular docs and one specialist . All could see it. The specialist scoped and ordered MRI. They tried antibiotics, sprays (OTC and Rx), steroids and NOTHING for two weeks. Suffered for months with it.
