So I can see this thread hasn't developed any since when I posted my message 2 months ago. Will re-post:

"Generally in this kind of a sweepstakes there is a limited number of winning tickets and the other ones are duplicates. So for example take the $250,000 prize. S604 might be the winning ticket (just giving an example), so since there are 2 prizes available, the makers of the sweepstakes will issue 2 S604s, and there will be large amounts of the remaining S601-S606. So if you get the S604 in this example, then you have basically won the prize, it's only a matter of time until you get the rest of the ones that you need. So trading doesn't really make sense because you are trading worthless tickets for worthless tickets that you would have picked up otherwise. If you do have a winning ticket and had trouble getting the rest, you could easily find lots of persons who have what you need.

The object for something like this is we have to determine which is the winning ticket for each prize. The way it is done is that someone puts up a form on the Internet with all possible tickets and each person marks the one that you have. In a couple of days it becomes obvious which are the winning tickets because there are large discrepancies with the numbers. I could put up such a form if no one knows how to do this."

Looks like there is still no way to know what the rare tickets are except by each person's trial and error, so it still doesn't make sense to do trades...
