Hello! I am planning a 6 day visit in Sept. and would love feedback on our itinerary.
Hotels are set, but park plan and ADRs can be changed – in 2 weeks we will hit the 180 day mark, and I plan to make ADRs right at 7am. We will have the
Disney Dining Plan (standard).
On the trip will be me, DH, my parents and 2 kids (6 and 10).
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween party will be going on the week we are there, but we are intentionally not going to that (maybe next time).
Sunday – flight arrives 12pm
Staying at Universal Lowes Royal Pacific Resort (1 night)
Universal for afternoon/evening (primarily for Harry Potter)
Monday:
Universal in the morning (9-12)
Check in to Disney Beach Club villa in afternoon (luggage drop and head to MK)
Magic Kingdom for ½ half of day (closes 9pm)
ADR: Cinderella’s Royal Table dinner (1 hour before fireworks, request window table), OR Crystal Palace for character dinner
Tuesday - Hollywood Studios
Considering MK this day instead because crowd calendars predict it will be slower than Wed, probably because MK closes at 6pm this day for the Halloween party. If we do MK, I will book an ADR for dinner as late as possible in MK (5:45pm?), or I’ll book dinner at a monorail hotel (suggestions?)
ADRs (assuming we do HS):
8am Cape May character breakfast (we are staying at Beach Club), then head to HS
Fantastic dining package at Hollywood & Vine? – but I’m not sure how much we care about Fantastic to be honest, and I’ve heard H&V isn’t very good. Maybe just counter service dinner instead?
Wednesday - MK
MK has EMH from 9-11pm, and thus crowd calendars are saying it will be more crowded in the park on this day. Still I like the idea of doing morning and late afternoon/evening in MK with a possible hotel pool break at mid-day
ADRs:
Be Our Guest – lunch
Cinderella’s Royal Table dinner (1 hour before fireworks) – if we can’t get it on Monday, otherwise Crystal Palace character dinner
Thursday - AK
(Epcot has AM EMH this day, which we won’t take advantage of, so planning to do Epcot Friday if it might be less crowded with no EMH.)
No ADRs at AK - all counter service meals
Friday - Epcot
Counter service lunch (Sunshine Seasons)
ADR: La Hacienda de San Angel (Fireworks view, 9pm?)
-------------------------------------
Of course, once EMH for HS are announced, we may move things around do take advantage of EMH for Star Wars (although it looks like it will only be on Sunday AM, so we will miss that).
I welcome all comments and suggestions!
