Saratoga for New Years

Have done 3 NYE trips to WDW and always stayed at the CR, this trip if it happens, will be staying at SSR, what are the festivities like? Can you hang at the resort and see firework displays, or head elsewhere? Thanks

I just spoke to my daughter who used our points a few years ago and of course she went to the MK, then headed to the lawn at the CR just like we always did!!!! So she didn't remember either!!!! Hoping someone has some answers.
