Romantic Dinner Ideas?

My husband and I were married in Disney World 9 years ago and have decided to go back to Disney this year for our anniversary :) Unfortunately we only decided to do this less than two months out, seems like everything is already booked in the entire Magic Kingdom area and I'm getting disheartened :( Anyone out there have any suggestions or ideas?

I do know that some places in Epcot might have availability. If it's just you two though you might be able to get a table at walk up. However I would also just keep trying to call there is sometimes openings available.

It depends on what your idea of a romantic dinner is. Besides CG and maybe Narcoossee's, most Signatures have some kind of availability on most nights. We have never had an issue getting even a last minute ADR at any Signature we wanted to eat at.

If Signature isn't your idea of romantic (or can't be squeezed into your budget), what would make for a romantic dinner for you? Romance is what you make of it and is just as subjective as opinions on restaurants. To some romance is having a quiet meal with few kids around. To others just watching Wishes can be romantic. Or maybe a it's dinner and a late night round of mini-golf.

It's tough to make suggestions without knowing what you are really looking for.

Jiko
Artists Point
Hollywood Brown Derby
Les Chefs de France
Citricos

I think all of those would be romantic, and should be easier to get reservations at. Good luck!

We love Artist Point at Wilderness Lodge and they tend to have more availability than other restaurants. Good luck!

1) Unfortunately, WDW is weak on "romantic" restaurants.
2) Out idea of "romantic" are
. . . eateries that have reduced lighting
. . . eateries that are relatively quiet and serene
. . . eateries where kids are behaved and not yelling
. . . eateries where adults know how to act at finer restaurants
. . . eateries that have great food and wonderful service
3) Our recommendations, and which usually have openings
. . . Shula's
. . . Artist Point
. . . Blue Zoo

NOTE: People sometimes say Cali Grill and Narcoossee's, but both are usually
noisy and populated with folks who don't know how to act.

romance is what you make of it. My wife and I got engaged and had our reception at the Hoop Dee Do review...

We also like Olivia's (Patio table), Chefs de France, San Angel Inn (great atmosphere) Nine Dragons, Grand Floridian Café and Raglan Road but RR can be a bit loud so request a table near the back. :)

Our 30th Anniversary dinner was at Artist Point, and I can't express how absolutely unforgettable they made it. The most romantic, excellent experience I could ask for. From the moment the manager came out to greet us and escort us to our table where our complimentary champagne toast awaited, then returned with our personalized menus-OMG! I recommend it so highly.

if you can swing it, give a call and see if Victoria and Albert's has an opening. They are usually pretty easy to get for the main dining room and I haven't had a more romantic experience.

Another vote for Artist Point - and the boat ride there is nice too! Not too far from MK areas

I would absolutely recommend Victoria & Albert's as well. One of the best meals that I have eaten and very romantic. Pricey, very pricey, but if you can swing it, it is well worth it. pixiedust:

I would second TheRustyScupper's suggestion of Shula's - they do not accept DP, so it tends to be less crowded without a lot of kids, the meal is not rushed, the food is high quality, and the service is very nice.

victoria & albert's would be first choice.

narcoossee's

citrico's

california grill

jiko's

artist's point

blue zoo

these are much more romantic than the epcot restaurants.

some times the atmosphere:flower3: is what you make it! pixiedust: what resort are you staying in for that vacation?

Thank you for all the wonderful ideas! I do agree you can make any place romantic, I was just looking for a nice sit down dinner, with maybe something a little special. I think we have decided to hit Downtown Disney after the day in the MK since the Halloween nights will close the park a little early for us anyway. I had totally forgotten about the Halloween event in the park that night lol
