Rob & Nikki's VR Trip Report *Updated with price breakdown!*

Finally updating! Sorry it has taken so long!

So, DD was sick in bed with a fever. My DH had a bad sore throat. Thankfully I had some medicine with me so I gave some to DD. Her and my DS stood in bed for the rest of the day. I don't think I mentioned it but 2 days before we left DS came down with fever and a soar throat. So he was on antibiotics and I guess he still wasn't 100% on the VR day. So I make sure the kids are OK, then hop in the shower to get myself ready for when Patricia arrives.

By 12:45 the girls from Ana's Beauty Special came to my moms room and they got to work on my mom, sister and grandmother. I stood in my room because I kind of felt funny knowing I wasn't using them and had Patricia coming.

Patricia comes on time and she was so cheerful and funny just like when we first met her. She even gets along great with DH so they were talking and laughing and we all had a great chat. She actually really helped calm me down. DH went to shower and get ready in the other room we had and Patricia got right to work. She was excellent! She calmed me, had me laughing and she also really "got" the look I was going for. I was originally going to do my hair up but changed my mind. The trial I did in June was for an up do. So I had a few pictures and told her what I wanted. She blew me away! She got it just right! The make up was fantastic too. She did the air brush make up and it was great. It didn't feel heavy or look unnatural. She gave me fake eyelashes too! No extra charge. She said it would look better if I had them! lol She was so right! We had to start rushing because all of a sudden Michelle was calling the room saying she would be calling me in about 15mins. to come meet in the lobby. I had no idea time was going by so quickly!!! So Patricia is finishing me up, and by this time my DS went to the other room with DH so DH could get him ready. My DD had gotten up and I took her rollers out of her hair and really could've used some help! But of course my mother was too busy with herself so.....
THANK GOD FOR PATRICIA!!!!!

Within 15 mins. she had me finished up, helped get me in my dress and shoes. Then she helped DD get in her dress and shoes. She also did light makeup on DD and did her hair!!!! When I went to pay her the remaining balance I asked how much for all the extras she did and she told me don't worry about it! It was her gift to me and wished me a wonderful day! I tipped her and she didn't even want that but I insisted. She really was so great!

Finally my mother, grandmother and sister were ready. Michelle called and we were on our way to the lobby!!!!

I was so excited, anxious, nervous, emotional! Seriously I was feeling almost every emotion because I was also really mad and annoyed with my mom too! Anyway my younger sister helps me with the walk holding my dress and helping DD. We are almost to the lobby entrance by the cafe when we realize we lost my mother and grandmother!! How the heck this happened we have no idea. I don't know how they got lost from Boca Chica to the lobby!!! I had to stop in front of the Cafe and make my sister go find them. It was so nice how so many people stopped to congratulate me and say I looked beautiful! I felt so special!!:lovestruc

I didn't want to wait anymore and started heading towards the lobby with DD. We were going to do a reveal with my DH and I wanted to get to him! As I walk towards the steps in the lobby my dad, DS and grandfather are there and that's when I just about lost it! The look on their faces and in their eyes was pure love, joy and awe!!! They had tears in their eyes and were telling me how beautiful I looked. It really was such a special moment.

Then Michelle was there along with an assistant and so was Misty and Nelio. They led me towards DH and when he saw me he was so overwhelmed. He said I took his breath away!

Then we got right down to the picture taking! Misty was fabulous and we got along right away! She gave direction, asked who I wanted in the pictures and was quick and professional. We took tons of pics in the lobby, by the stairs, a few outside(but it was way too windy to stay out long).

There were about 2 assistants there when Michelle had to leave which was fine. They kept us on time and told us when it was time to head to the pavilion. The limo took my kids, my mom, grandmother, and sister to the ceremony then came back for us. The motor coach also came and picked up my dad, grandfather and my dads girlfriend.(I never got to see it!)

I do want to say that when it was picture time my dads girlfriend left the area and hung out on the other side of the lobby. That was her own doing and I thought that was really nice of her. She didn't want to annoy my mother or get me upset and wanted to give us our time as a family. My parents actually agreed to take a picture with me at the same time, one on each side of me!

As we headed towards the limo we got a few shots out front. These were some of my favorite pictures! It was a quick ride to the pavilion and as soon as we got there Michelle met us along with about 2 other people. She wisked my to the bridal room and had my kids there waiting for me.
DH went to the grooms room.

Before I go on I want to post some of my favorite pictures.

We took some pictures of me and the kids in the bridal room. Stan was in there as well taking some video. Then Rev. Kevin Knox came to meet me and ask a few questions. Now we are not religious at all and we were doing the hand ceremony. He knew we didn't want the prayer so he asked if it was OK to use the word "God" and bless us. I was OK with that. Seriously I was feeling so excited I would've agreed to anything! LOL

Then it was time. I felt like I was marrying my DH for the first time. It truly felt like a new beginning! I have to say that I felt more in love than ever.

I hear the music as DH and the Rev. walk in but can't see them. Then my kids walk in together. Then it was my turn. When those doors opened all I kept thinking was "please don't trip or fall!":rotfl: Then I saw DH standing there.:cloud9: All I saw was him. I kept looking straight at him and I swear it was like no one else was in that room, just him and I. It was so magical! as we renewed our vows it was such a beautiful moment for us. The words to the hand ceremony are just so beautiful, it really took my breath away. I couldn't believe we were actually there doing this after all the time planning! The ceremony was probably about 20 mins. from start to finish. It was just perfect. Oh, the only other thing I noticed besides DH was my alter arrangement!!:lmao: I loved it and was so happy with how gorgeous it looked!!

Here are some of my favorite pics from the ceremony:

Wow - your photos are quite beautiful! thank you so much for posting them and sharing with us. It's so helpful to see wedding plans come to life! I look forward to seeing/reading more!

Congratulations and best wishes to you!!

After the ceremony I was on a cloud!:cloud9: I just had this silly smile plastered on my face!LOL DH looked like he was in another world! He said he was just so overwhelmed by me and on a cloud too!

I think at that point Misty directed us to the back of the pavilion to get some pics by the arch. While we were there our guests were led out and given the rose petals for our staged exit. It was so windy that while we were walking through, the petals were blowing away from us! I was annoyed because I thought I wasn't going to get the pictures I wanted. I really wanted a picture of us walking through with the petals falling around us. I shouldn't have worried because yet again Misty came through and got the perfect shots!:wizard: I don't know how she did it but she did!!!

I am really trying hard to remember the events after that.:rotfl: I believe we went into the limo and got some pics as everyone was waving at us. Then my guests were escorted to the motor coach to go to the cocktail hour. Our immediate family, parents, siblings and nieces, nephews, were asked to stay and take pictures in the pavilion. So, my parents were on good behavior and stayed. But my husbands mom and brother, grandmother and niece(mind you they were the only family members he had there)left! Michelle said she told them to come back to the pavilion 3 times and they ignored her!! I felt so bad for DH. We got some great family photos. As crazy as they are, they(my parents and sisters) are very close to my DH and have always been there for him. They are his family. So, I was upset for him but had to let it go. After those pictures everyone went to the cocktail hour and DH, and I and our kids took a ton of pictures outside the pavilion and on the beach. These were some of my favorite pictures we took!

We headed to the reception and my kids just loved being in the limo! It was really nice too. It was a short ride and the limo was stocked with bottled water which I thought was great cause we were thirsty!

There was no other events going on at the convention center which was great! Our guests were all out on the patio off the White Hall room. We saw our Silhouette Artist was set up in the hall between the room entrance and patio entrance. Michelle led us to see the room for the first time. I walk in and my jaw dropped! I was floored.:faint: It was everything I imagined in my head. I couldn't believe how well it all came together. I didn't even notice the ugly carpet or hideous birds on the wall!:lmao: It was so beautiful, romantic, classy and I couldn't have asked for better. Then I saw the cake. It was exactly as the picture I gave them minus the 3rd tier which we didn't need. The details were incredible! It was perfect except I should've had a topper. We didn't because the branches and pumpkin was suppose to be more on top of the top tier. Oh, well it wasn't that big a deal and it tasted fantastic!

So we meet the DJ and him and my DH hit it off right away. While they chat my BFF and Michelle start busseling my dress, which took awhile! Then we were escorted to one of the ball rooms to wait till our guests were brought into the White Hall Room. Again, I was still on a cloud from our ceremony so this just slipped past me that we were being announced and walking into the room. I DID NOT WANT THIS! I told everyone that, but it happened anyway.:headache: So I let it go and didn't even really have it hit me till after it happened!LOL So this was the first way I got ignored/annoyed at the reception. More on that later.;) Oh, I can't even remember what song was playing when we walked in and can't wait to see that on our video.

We go straight into our first dance, Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol. He played the song long enough for us to have our moment and short enough so everyone wasn't bored.:thumbsup2

I'll continue this later......now I'll post some pics!!

Beautiful pictures! I love your cake, I think it's marvelous! Of course I am partial to green and orange as it they were my wedding colors and I love the combination. I also love fall and Tim Burton so it was a no-brainer. Great cake!

Thank you for all the compliments!:goodvibes

I am a SAHM and both my kids are in school all day. I make sure to take some time out of the day or at night when they are in bed to read. I love reading and sometimes stay up too late reading and suffer for it the next morning!:rotfl: I am lucky that my kids love to read as well and we will spend time on the weekends reading together or at the bookstore!:thumbsup2

Stan from STVS video contacted me and sent us via email some footage from the edited version of our video he is working on. It is beautiful! I was so happy because I was finally able to see what the cocktail hour looked like!!!!:woohoo: I can't wait to see the whole thing when it is finished.

When I have more time I promise I will be back to finish this report and post more pictures.

So let's continue with the reception.....

After our first dance we mingled, took pictures with our guests, and started with the first courses. For me the reception really flew by. My guests thought it was the perfect amount of time but I wished it was longer!

The highlights of the night were having Mickey Mouse there, watching the fireworks from the patio and having the silhouette artist.

My guests were so impressed with the silhouette artist. They all kept coming up to me and complimenting on how different it was to have her there. Every single guest was able to have a silhouette done and take it home as their favor. Then I have a book with copies of everyones silhouette and each guest got to write a message to us under their silhouette. It was such a meaningful keepsake for us and she was well worth the money!

When Mickey came out we all turned into 5 year olds!:lmao: I am so glad we had him there and he was also well worth the money! We had him dressed in a tux and top hat and it was just perfect!!! He danced with us, visited with each kid, posed for pictures too. then he helped with the cake cutting. What I didn't expect was he also went out to the patio and we got group shots and shots of just our family with him and shots with him and our kids. I really feel he stayed longer than just a half hour. It was just perfect!!

Now from the very beginning I made it clear to everyone and it is in my contract that after the appetizer and salad dinner is to be held so we can go out to the patio and watch the fireworks. Then we would come back in the room for dinner. Well they started sending out the entrees right when the DJ told everyone to go outside! I was pissed, Michelle was no where to be found and I had a whole table eating while everyone else was outside!! It was taken care of and the food was put on hold but it shouldn't have happened. Anyway, my guests couldn't believe they could see the castle and the fireworks from the patio. Everyone was so excited to see them and we thought the view was great! The DJ played the soundtrack to Wishes and it was so perfect!! A couple of times the monorail went by and I just had tears in my eyes cause it was a perfect moment for me!!:cloud9:

Dinner was fabulous. We had chicken marsala and filet mignon with garlic mashed potatoes and veggies. It was so delicious and everyone loved it. The kids entree was chicken nuggets, tater tots, and corn.

OK, let me post some pictures!
