When April 2015
Who: 6 Adults 7 kids, ages 4G, 7B, 7G, 9B, 9B, 11G, 11B. (B Boy etc you get the idea :))

3 Families, we are celebrating monumental birthdays and are meeting in LA to do it because this is half way between the UK (where we are) and New Zealand where the other two families are from.

Our itinerary after weeks of tweaking has been decided and will be as follows.

Firstly how does it look to you all and secondly any suggestions of places to stay, eat and attractions to do would be great.

Arrive 1st April
April 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, Large house hire, Disneyland 3 days, Universal 1, LA tour Hollywood etc.
April 7 LEGOLAND and then LEGOLAND hotel
April 8 San Diego Zoo - after zoo leave and drive to Yuma.
April 9 Yuma to Williams, via Sedona
April 10 Williams to Grand Canyon on the Train
April 11 Williams to Las Vegas
April 12, 13, 14 Las Vegas then one of the families heads off to Philadelphia and the other two of us head back to LA to fly back home again.

Obviously this is well jam packed in as you can probably get but it seems to be the best option to get everyone what they want.

So any insights would be very welcome.

Many thanks Kirsten

You are right. This is jam packed. Lots if driving but you get to see some sites across Arizona.

We have stayed at the Grand Canyon Railway Hotel in Williams. Hotel was nice. Rooms were fine but nothing special. They had a nice buffet for dinner and a sort of funny show before boarding the train. We did a package through AAA.

We just got back from a weekend in Vegas yesterday. There are Sooooo many options with a wide variety in price and accommodations. We stayed at South Pointe this last trip. The rooms were large for the price and they have quite a bit to choose from. The pool area was nice too. It is a bit far from the real action, but that could be good depending on what you are after.

For the old school Vegas experience there is Downtown. Some I know love staying there. I don't care for it.

You can spend a fortune in Vegas rooms if you want the full luxury experience too.
