My friends and I are all saying that we're surprised at how upset we all were to hear this. Just one of the greatest of all times. I read the family's statement out to the family and cried the whole way through.

My father-in-law passed away from "complications of Alzheimer's Disease." Such a long, slow, demeaning death. Gene Wilder is one of my favorites......I see Madeline Kahn, Richard Pryor, Gilda, Gene, Cleavon et al in a fantastic blooper reel, together again. So sad.
