That's false. Orange County curfew is in effect until 6pm tonight. I'm listening to WDBO. County Sheriff says you will be arrested if caught outside without a darn good reason. I wouldn't expect the parks to open at all today. If guests are seeing downed trees at the resorts there's got to be a lot of debris you don't see about WDW. Not to mention the CMs may be on lockdown in their residences. The most you'll see today are the "ride out crew" staffs who provide entertainment and food at the resorts.Still pretty windy on our side of pop centry but its quieted down a lot. I see a few snapped branches but no trees down but this was just from a quick window glance. We have a giant group of trees in front, obstructing everything. Heard city curfew if supposed to lift at 8am but they are urging those to stay inside and off theroad.
There's a lot of damage about the city. And a lot more power outages. I'm hearing of downed trees on Universal Drive and power outages to traffic signals.
So be content if you are high and dry in a Disney resort. It's the most luxurious accommodations you could have in town right now. Orange County is warning people not to overuse the septic system (flush toilets excessively, wash laundry, etc.) because the city water system took a beating. Several shelters lost power in the middle of the storm. You guys are in paradise in comparison. Get a good day's rest. Let CMs do their stuff. Life will get back to normally eventually.
