Resort bucket with 3rd party booking

Has anyone had success or experience with getting park reservations from the “resort” bucket when booking at GCH or PPH via Expedia/getaway today?

Just to clarify the process, you link the hotel reservation to your account by the confirmation#, then you can access park reservations through the hotel reservation availability?
