Our much-anticipated family Christmas vacation turned into a heartbreaking ordeal with RVIDA Life. From the moment we arrived, the promise of holiday joy unraveled. The absence of hot water in the RV was just the beginning. The RV we booked was not the one they delivered – a crushing disappointment.

Throughout the trip, the RV remained perilously slanted, signaling a broken jack with incessant error codes, jeopardizing our safety.
To compound our misery, the entire RV was infested with cockroaches, turning our holiday haven into a nightmare. When seeking a refund rightfully owed to us on moral, ethical, and legal grounds, we were shocked to be handed a non-disclosure agreement, stifling our ability to warn others. Refusing to comply with this egregious demand cost us a full refund, leaving us victimized by a company that callously gaslit us, making us feel crazy for demanding what was rightfully ours. The RV became so inhabitable that we checked out a day early, paying extra for flights home on Christmas Day. Just imagine the disappointment our children were faced with, losing their magical Christmas Day at the Fort.

RVIDA Life's predatory practices extend beyond our harrowing experience. They exploit renters by insisting on direct payments via Zelle to avoid fees, absolving themselves of accountability. We were scammed and robbed of our hard-earned money, and when we threatened to share our ordeal publicly, they attempted to extort us.

This warning is a plea to all RV renters – steer clear of RVIDA Life and Ben De Jesus. Their deceptive tactics, financial exploitation, and disregard for customer well-being make them a perilous choice. We've reported our nightmare to Fort Wilderness and the Orange County Sheriff, hoping to spare other families from falling prey to their ruthless scheme. RV renters, beware of RVIDA Life's treacherous practices!

I've camped many times at the fort, all sites are pretty level, can't imagine it "perilously slanted" are you sure you were at fort wilderness? If it was unsafe, cockroaches and no hot water, Fort wilderness would have it removed, did you call the fort right away or wait till you left? They have approved rv vendors

The camper had broken jacks causing it to be slanted. Cory wilderness is great. The company we used. Horrible

That makes no sense, if they are broke, you would be level by default, i.e. they don't work and pads are level

What/Who is Cory wilderness?

Have you ever been in an RV?
Camp* not Cory. Incorrect. You are arguing to argue. Rv was trash. Jacks weren’t working correctly. Full of roaches. No hot water. What are you trying to get at?

Where did you find this company? I don’t see them on Google

I'm not familiar with the vendor's name in your post. Don't recall seeing it mentioned here on the DIS Camping Board.

There are Disney-approved trailer/rv vendors on Disney's website. Those can be trusted. There are also other vendors mentioned here often in the past (the DIS search tool is your friend) that are highly thought of and recommended. Again, the vendor you've named I'm not familiar with.

BTW it's not *Camp* Wilderness but *Fort* Wilderness. Odd, that. :scratchin

But assuming your story is true, you bypassed approved vendors and recommended vendors. Thus your outcome was up to you alone.

Caveat Emptor.

Something is not adding up.

1. A brand new poster that only signed up today
2. No one has heard of RVIDA Life and can't find them online (could be a typo on the name)
3. Calling it Camp Wilderness, again could be a typo.

OP, help us help you. Don't just come here to argue and complain. You will find that we are very helpful and sympathetic bunch. but we don't like being attacked when we ask questions back

Actually, #3 was a two-time-typo, Jim. First Cory, then Camp. STILL not adding up.

This is not the first time this has happened here.

Outcome was the same.

A non-disclosure to get a refund? Gimme a break. So you're telling us that they wanted you to sign this alleged non-disclosure as a condition of your refund, but you decided that maintaining your right to complain elsewhere trumped getting all of your money back (a full refund per your post), and walked away empty-handed?

Sure...

I’m sure most people would take the money sign the NDA and wash their hands,
This story stinks!

If you are still around, not trying to be argumentative, but if this is a travel trailer or 5th wheel, the jacks really just level up and stabilize. Like others have said, the sites at the Fort are very level to start, so the jacks don't do much except stabilize. If it was leaning as bad as you say, the suspension was broken and jacks won't do much for that.
It's like a bad ChatGPT story
I think AgentMama is on to something. I wonder if this was generated by a Chat bot and the OP was seeing what it would stir up. When they were called out on things that didn't add up, they doubled down to keep up the play.

I don't even go to FW but I am SO invested in the drama of this thread.

Original post is 100% a ChatGPT creation given the use of words like "perilously" and "egregious". I don't even think it's fake, I just think OP plugged in a shorter summary of his problem to ChatGPT to help him come up with a coherent post for this thread
