Redo Voodoo - Instead of June 2020, planning for June 2021

I’m still waiting on dining to update. With the extended hours I wanna change my rose and crown day and there is nothing available and I’ve even got reservation finder going with nada.

Magic Kingdom dining opened up today! I refreshed, nothing. I refreshed 15 minutes later, and there were openings at a number of restaurants! This was about an hour ago. Be Our Guest and Cinderella's Royal Table were already full when I refreshed, but everything else was available. Most of it is gone now (for my MK day), but there are still a couple slots at some restaurants.

Does anyone know why, in early June, Oga's Cantina hours are extended to 9pm, but other restaurants still say 7pm? Are the other HS restaurants not extending their hours?

Yay! I got CRT and Oga's, too! So glad people are getting their top ADRs!

I asked this question on another thread but might as well ask it here. If you have a dining reservation that keeps you past park closing, what are some things to do at MK or DHS after closing? We have an 8:10 CRT ADR and the park closes at 9pm, so it will probably be closed when we get out. Are there MagicShots we should do on our way out? Or a shop to get a souvenir to end our trip? Also, same question but for DHS! Any input would be appreciated! I've never been in a park late before (except for a hard ticketed event/party).

After official closing the only thing you can really do is shop. Photopass photogs tend to stick around for a little while IME (pre covid) but not long, like I have gotten shots on the way out of Epcot after fireworks before but not after EMH.

I'm not 100% sure, but I think the shops on Main Street stay open for about an hour after closing. We've also spent a few minutes doing photos after closing but not sure how long that lasts. I'd guess you probably have at least a couple of castle photo ops on the way out, depending on how late it is. I picked up some tea in January after closing and the shops were pretty busy.

DHS - we had a late Oga's in January, and they were running behind and didn't get us in until after 8 p.m., so we came out around 9 when the park closed at 7 p.m. We were given a personal escort! (It was fun chatting but clearly they didn't want lingering) and once they brought us "off the planet," other CMs ushered us out of the park around every corner. Everything was definitely shut down at that point.

Edited.I forgot to say congrats on the ADRs!! That's awesome :)

Thank you! For DHS, our ADR is actually about 30 minutes after closing. So, we could do something in that 30 minute period, but it doesn't sound like there's that much offered. I'm thinking we might save Galaxy's Edge for last, start checking it out at like 7pm and hop into the queue for Smuggler's Run a little before closing.

A TON of park availability opened for June, so if anyone was having difficulty booking anything definitely take another look!

It looks they’re increasing park capacity for June.
I was able to change our park reservations to have a second MK day. The good thing is we got Park Hoppers, so we can move around.,

After being super bummed about missing our May trip last year, we just made a last minute booking for June 5-10th! Trip planning looks very different than usual but I'm so happy to be back in it! Crossing my fingers for HS availability and some of my most wanted ADRs to open up...but honestly I'll be happy with anything! :cloud9:

I will be there at the same time. Enjoy!

Today was ADR day. We were able to get everything we needed but not on the exact right days so when I'm not so tired I will check and make sure everything works. I did learn that if you want to book Savi's or Droid or Capture your memories, you can book at midnight the day your 60 day window opens.

Today was our ADR day, too, and we managed to get what we wanted! The big one was the anniversary dinner for my parents, for 8. My brother and I had a plan and we ended up booking as 2 groups of 4, 5 minutes apart, at Narcoossee's. Luckily, it's at the end of our trip, so it all worked out. I also grabbed an Oga's for my parents and us and Via Napoli for us. My brother grabbed Jaleo for a date night and Beaches and Cream for a Kitchen Sink for his family. Now, 57 days till we fly out and 60 til Disney!

Sorry everyone, I haven't been updating the list. I have had some family emergencies to deal with. My husband and mother-in-law were in a major car accident that put my mother-in-law in the hospital. She is 91. First in ICU, then rehab and still in nursing home trying to recover from the accident. She has been taken back to the hospital a couple of times when she has been dehydrated or other conditions that worsened. It looks like I am going to have to postpone my own June trip again. But I can at least try to destress from reality and get my Disney fix from living vicariously through all of your planning and then reading your TRs when you return.

If I missed updating anyone's trips on the first page list, let me know and I will update it.

@mdsouth I have an update. We’re now June 3-12 at CBR.
i Hope everyone is ready to make dining reservations. I have my list in progress for my TA.
I just updated the list! Thanks!

Happy to join this thread! We were there in February and are going again later this month, but DH says Feb-April is too long lol so also just booked a trip June 5-9th! Right now staying at CSR in a preferred room with my discount but may move if something else comes up. I've been to Universal in June, but it's the only month I haven't been to WDW so I get to check that off my list!
Happy you are able to go back!

I finally rescheduled the trip we canceled in October! We'll be staying at Pop June 5 - 9

Update: I already changed our reservation, and now we're at Art of Animation.
I think Art of Animation looks like a really fun resort to stay at.

All set for June 19-23 at the Poly! First time there and a dream since 2014. We technically leave June 15 for a split stay “elsewhere“... 🦖 ⚡ 🚂 🦉 🦕
The Poly! That is a dream resort of mine as well.

Just booked June 15-20 as a high school graduation present for my daughter, who got straight A’s all four years !:banana::cool1::cool1:

She’s soooooo happy! I’m taking her best friend who is also a huge Disney fan. Now I have some planning to do!
How fun! My own daughter graduates from high school this year too.

We're still on at the Poly (rented DVC points) from June 19-26. Super bummed about the monorail and 'Ohana, those were announced after we'd booked our nonrefundable rooms.

Kept waiting on the other shoe to drop, so to speak, where WDW would close again or something so I procrastinated in booking tickets/park reservations. By the time I did it (Easter Sunday) HS was only available on Sunday, 6/20, so I grabbed it.

Hoping to book a VIP tour that Sunday anyway, which would help (Grandma's paying!)

My daughter (11) was recently diagnosed as allergic to: gluten, dairy and soy and her diet has suddenly become quite complicated and she's not been feeling well for months. Now to find out if I can get her a custom cake made with those restrictions!

Up next! ADRs next week.

I have heard great things about Disney's dining being great with diet restrictions, in particular the gluten ones with treats that taste wonderful.

I am so sorry to hear about your family, I can't imagine what you all must be going through. I pray your MIL recovers soon.

Thank you for your kind message.

I just went back through and I think I am all caught up with the list for June!
