Recent port upgrades?

We (me, wife, girls 12/13) are cruising out of Miami in Oct with a VGT reservation on the Dream. Depending on our stateroom assignment we may look into a port upgrade (if possible/available).

Has anyone recently upgraded at the port and if so, what stateroom category did you upgrade from/to and approx what was the upgrade cost (if any)?

We just returned from a 5 night Dream cruise in late August. We booked VGT (first time doing this for us as we booked last minute).

We were assigned aft 6B room and we would have been fine with that but we decided to ask at port if there were any Deluxe Family staterooms available that sleep 5 so that we would have the pull down Murphy bed.

We were given our choice of available staterooms ( I believe these are 4A rooms) and upgraded to one for an additional $257. We thought it was worth it.

Our luggage was delivered to our original room but that was no big deal- we retrieved our luggage ourselves and thought the price was well worth it. We moved up two decks and more midship with no white wall veranda.

Just curious... how early was your PAT? We are hoping to do the exact thing you did on our upcoming cruise.
