Questions about Disney transportation from Vancouver Port back to the airport ???

Just discovered Disney will supply transportation to the Vancouver Airport after debarkation, for a fee of course. Questions : Are there a few bus loads that leave for the airport departing at staggered times ?? Are you assigned a bus departure time from the port based on your flight departure time at the airport ??

If we could have a leisurely breakfast and not be rushed onto a bus just to have to sit around the airport for hours, would be the optimal scenario. Our flight doesn't leave until 3:00, I have read that it is pretty hectic to get a taxi after disembarking ??

Busses will leave for the airport when full. They don't have hourly departures or anything like that. Have you considered storing your luggage at Canada Place for a few hours and then grab a taxi back to the airport closer to your flight time? Even with a leisurely breakfast, you will have to get off the ship at around 9:00 AM.

We did the Disney transportation but could just as well have taken a taxi. You have to get off the ship by 9. If you want a leisurely breakfast you will have to get it off the ship or wake up super early! There were just a bunch of shuttles that departed once they were loaded. Ours was in a holding pattern for 20 minutes in an off airport lot waiting for traffic to clear. We have no need to do Alaska again since we went already but if we did a cruise from vancouver we would take a cab for sure.

We took Disney transportation to the airport after our cruise and it was very easy. You just get off the ship, collect your luggage and follow the signs to the busses. Once busses are full, they head to the airport. It was $25 per person this summer, so more expensive than a cab for a family of 4 ... but we really didn’t wait much at all (I timed it and it took 19 minutes from the time we got in line for the bus until the bus pulled out of the terminal) and it was super easy.

We took a cab from the airport to our pre-cruise hotel and it wasn’t difficult, but we did have to wait in a very long line and then had to wait an extra bit for a non-Prius cab that could fit all four of us and our luggage. The walk from the ship through customs and to the busses was all inside, so I have no idea what the cab lines looked like at the port when we were catching the bus - but I had heard similar things about long cab lines at disembarkation - maybe it’s a Disney planted rumor to get us all using the busses! Ha!

We were able to disembark the ship at 8:35am and got to the airport around 10:00am.

On the Skytrain are there places to sit or do you have to stand and hold on?? Where do you put your luggage ??

There are luggage racks and seats on the Skytrain. Very easy if you don’t have many bags, as there is an escalator down to the station right outside Canada Place.

Don't pay for Disney transportation in Vancouver. The Canada Line is faster at a fraction of the cost and a taxi is still going to be cheaper than Disney transportation if you are more than 2 people.
