We have one day before our cruise and three days after (including disembark day) at the parks. Trying to decide if we want to use private transport to and from the port vs. Disney. Not factoring cost into the decision what have you found works for your family? How early can you make it to the park after getting off the ship? In the past we have always done private transport and love being in the first PAT (which we currently have for this one too)
We have a 3 and 5 year old so we will have to rent car seats from the transport company so that is part of our hastle factor. We aren’t interested in the rental car option even if it’s cheaper.

While we haven't traveled with ones requiring car seats, we always take the DCL bus. One time we got a rental car (post cruise) since we didn't have a flight out until 8PM that night. Also, taking the DCL bus, no car seats required.

If you're off the ship in the early group, you could be at your resort by 9:30-10:00. DCL transfers from resorts to port depart sometime in the 10:45-1:30 window. You won't know your departure time until you check in at your resort.

Okay, well, you said you weren't interested in renting, so this won't work for you.

We rented a vehicle on the Wed night we flew in, drove to port for Sat morning and parked the rental (didn't return it, but had it waiting for us in the parking lot), then drove to WDW for another 2 days after our cruise, and back to the airport for our last night at the Hyatt. That worked perfectly for us, because we were independently mobile the whole time we were not cruising and we didn't have to wait for anyone or for shuttles or busses. Our kids are out of car seats, though.

I believe some Uber and Lyft cars come with car seats, but perhaps not two of them. Could you bring seats?

I haven't used but if you go to the FL Tours website it shows how its better than Lyft and one of the reasons is free car seats, so maybe check them out. Money wise it was less for us to use the Disney transport than Fl Tours but it's just 3 of us, if we had 4 then the FL Tours would be cheaper.
