Another new positive for us is spending so much more time with our kids, especially our toddler and realizing how hilarious she is. Before all this we worked until 5 and she was in bed by 8:30 so while we tried really really hard for quality time it was really eating, bathing, maybe an hour to play, and then bedtime during the work week.
Now we’re working from home and older brother is helping to baby sit but we realized if we could let her sleep later we could start work earlier and get half a day down before she even woke up, which was easier on babysitting brother too. So we’re abandoned bedtime and she’s staying up until midnight and sleeping until 10:30 and we have around 7 hours a night with her. She is thriving and cracking us up, and I’m so glad we’re getting a chance to semi-stay at home parent her again. It will be a nightmare to roll this clock back but that’s a bridge we have some time before we cross.
