the only time we have seen the pool closed is when something is in the pool that should not be there we have been swimming as late as 1 am and were not alone.
The cool thing about when the lifeguards leave is that you can do some things that they don't allow. Harmless things like letting the kids"snorkel" with their fins, playing "chicken" with our kids on our shoulders. Of course I understand all about safety and crowds, but horseplay is fun when you have two concerned and caring parents playing too.
the pools are heated in the winter, they need to be cooled in the summer - they get a little on the warm side for my liking in the summer, not sure on depth, probably 3 feet to 8 feet at the meadows pool
