Parking?

Hello! Quick question. We are staying on property and our last night we are getting a rental car to go to the beach. My question is, when we get up we are going to go to the park and then head to the beach for the night. We are staying at Pop and going to Hollywood Studios (hoping for the RoTR BG). Is it better to drive or skyliner? Would our car be towed since we have technically have checked out for the day?

If you guys say to drive, do you pay the resort parking fee AND parking for the day at Hollywood Studios?

Personally, I'd take the skyliner. Much faster. You'd pay the resort parking fee for the one night. If you choose to drive to Studios, you are still a resort guests on your check out day, thru 11:59 pm, so free parking at the park. Your car will also be just fine at Pop for the day. Load your car up before you board the skyliner, and you'll be set.

You are allowed to park at your resort, and enjoy all of its amenities, on your check out day until Midnight. Your magicband continues to work the gate until midnight as well. It just won’t open your resort room door after you physically check out, or after 11am which ever is earlier. So you can totally leave your car at Pop, take the skyliner to HS, and then leave the resort when you’re ready.

If, on the other hand, you decide to drive to HS, you would not be charged to park there as you would still be considered a resort guest for your checkout day.

Hope that answered all your questions!:)

yes!! Thank you for answering both of my questions!!

The potential problem with taking the skyliner first thing in the morning is that it does not necessarily open in time to get you into the park in time to get a boarding group. The wait to get onto the Skyliner can be very long first thing in the morning.
