Parking at the Theme Parks

Past few visits we didn't bother with a car so never needed to park in the lots. This time my mom is driving up and will have her van. If we choose to drive to the parks can we still show our room key and park free?

Also, I know parking at MK is a pain but how are AK, DS, and Epcot? Is it a long commute fromthe lot to the park entrance?

If you are staying on-site, the resort will give you a pices of paper to put in the windshield of your car. It has the resort name and the length of time you are staying at the resort. This will get you free parking. They will look at that when you drive up to the parking lot booth and wave you through.

As far as the distance from parking lot to turnstyle - it depends on what time you arrive. If you get there first thing in the morning, it's pretty close. We generally walk to the park turnstyles. If we hop to another park in the afternoon we are usually pretty far away and we wait for a tram which drop you off right at the park entrance.

Hope this helps answer your questions. It's still nice to have a car and be able to drive around at your own pleasure rather than wait on a bus. Especially if you want to go from resort to resort.
