I'm considering taking the family to Medival Times dinner theatre? I'd like to know how you liked it? What food did they serve?

What about Arabian nights or Pirates dinner theatre?

Thanks in advance!

Simon and I have both attended Pirates Dinner Theater (I-Drive).

I truly enjoyed the evening...The food was good-although I did feel a bit rushed through the meal...

I also enjoyed the show...Lots of acrobatics, singing, and the guy gets the girl! :^)
It seems to me that this show is well suited for families, especially with kids 8 or nine years and up...

If you have kids younger than that, may I suggest Shazam! at Wonderworks...It's pretty much a magic show, with all you can eat pizza served family style...A fun evening event.

FWIW, I rank the three shows you mention as follows:

1. Arabian Nights
2. Pirates Dinner Adventure
3. Medieval Times

Medieval Times would be in a tie with Pirates escept for the fact that the volume is at heavy metal level and downright painful. MT also has a cheer-for-your-knight aspect that many people (myself included) obviously find to be a lot of fum. And you get to eat with your fingers! (utnesils provided only on request)

Thank you everybody! I really appreciate the responses! :D

Does anyone know what they serve for food at the Pirate's show?

Our children are 12(boy) and 7(girl). My dd and I would love the horse show but the guys might prefer Medival.

Last time I was there they served sliced beef and spicy chicken barbecued on pirate swords, served over yellow rice. Beer, wine, and soda flow freely.

I HATED Medieval Times. I spent months looking forward to it. It may be a wonderful show... I wouldn't know, they stuck me at the far end away from where everything was happening and the waitstaff was always standing between me and what little bit I could see. If you do this show make sure you pay the extra $$$ to sit closest to the stage or you'll pretty much miss out. The food was decent.

I really want to do Sleuth's Mystery Theater. Does anyone know about this one?

Sleuths is a lot of fun and very funny (at least the shows I've seen).

Many of the performers also work at Disney or other parks and are very talented improvisers. The food (cornish hen) is darn good, too.

Thanks Kelly, I think I'll call now to make ressies!

I also went to the Slueths Dinner Show. Very entertaining. Would go again. So much improv everytime you go its a totally different experience. Make sure you book early too. Its a smaller venue and books up fast.

Enjoy the show!

I've been to several shows. The Wild West show in Kissimmee and King Henry's are owned by the same people. Both shows are entertaining. Keep in mind that they do not have horses. That is Medieval Times and Arabian Nights. Both shows are great. We have enjoyed the food at all of these.

Suggestions to miss: Don't go to Capone's. The food is terrible and the show is mediocre. Don't go to Sea World's Polynesian Show. The food is awful compared to Disney and though the entertainment is good, I like Disney better.

We vote for Medieval Times!!!We have been going for ages and our small children have always loved it. I believe that there is a website for them but cannot remember it. Have seen menu on Orlando type sites too.Lost everything in our computer recently so therefore lost my sites for there also. Believe it was a cornish hen.and BBQ ribs etc. Way too much food for one person but always good and worth the money. It is next door to the Wal Mart on Irlo Bronson.
Did not care for Arabian Knights.Good Luck!!:jester:

It's been a few years since I went but...

Medieval Times is great fun. The first part of the evening consists of a genuine jousting skills tournament - i.e. aiming for targets not people. The second part is a well choreographed "competition". All good fun, and the food was not to shabby either.

Arabian Knights - If anyone loves horses they will love this. Otherwise I imagine it is a bit hit and miss. Can't remember what the food was like as I have not revisited this one.

King Henrys and Fort Liberty - great fun dinner shows with good nosh. In between courses they have speciality acts themed to the show.

Eat, drink and be merry!

I was torn between Arabian Nights and Medivel Theater. What would be best for a 5 yr old?

My girls have been several times but the last time my little one was 5 yrs old. The Medieval Times kept her much more captivated.Arabian is more of a musical/horse show.Beautiful but not as captivating for young children. At Medival they have more preshow that they enjoyed than Arabian. People in costume walking around interacting with everyone.Of course that is just my opinion. :jester:

I always rate the food at MT above that of Pirates (and there is SO much of it!), but both shows seem to go down well with children (as does AN, although it seems to suit girls best). MT also has the Medieval Life exhibition, which is a useful little side attraction for half an hour before the show.

Sleuths is one of the most amusing shows (in fact, there are eight different ones), but the scale and style are completely different, and it probably best suits a teenage and adult audience.

On a purely personal level, I enjoy MT first, then Sleuths, Arabian Nights and Pirates.

Here are the various websites:

I'm considering the MT show next month for my DH, and DS's (7&9) it sounds like a good time!!! My question is going to expose me for the lush that I am...but does the beer also flow freely at MT? :D My husband will be down for a visit (we're living 1300 miles away for a few months!) and I don't get out much, so having free flowing beer would be a treat for me!

It also makes it more of a value! :D

It is not quite the 'unlimited' drink supply that they advertise, but the servers do come around regularly and I have never gone thirsty! :D

Thanks! That should be fine...I wasn't looking to be carried out of there! :D

Tho...there is that hollow leg of mine!!! :D
