Only Guaranteed Inside Rooms

We are looking at the Disney Treasure May 3-10, 2025 and the only option for inside stateroom is guaranteed. There is no ability to choose your room. Anyone know why that might be?

We have friends who have a balcony booked already and wish to choose an inside room across the hall.

Supply. When the booking numbers hit a certain threshold a category goes to GTY and you have no say in where you get put.

Unfortunately the Wish and Treasury both have less inside rooms than the other ships which means that supply is also limited. The cruise will have reached its threshold of inside rooms available to book hence why its moved to the guaranteed level. This allows them to keep selling but gives them more scope to place people where they have space rather than specific rooms.

All good signs for initial Treasure bookings.
Though you have to keep in mind that there is a long time before PIF. Lots of people book as soon as new itineraries come out that are a long ways away and then cancel as they get close to the PIF date.

A gty room means you will be guaranteed a cabin in at least the category you booked but could possibly get an upgrade. You will be assigned a cabin based on DCL's inventory needs closer to your sail date....usually about 30 days in advance.

Once a category starts to get full Disney will only sell that category as guarantee as it gives them more flexibility. (There is more to cruise occupancy than just filling the rooms. They also have to consider lifeboat capacity). There is no discount for guarantee where you book a specific room category (11a, 11b etc) and Disney will assign your room 30-60 days out. It isn’t uncommon for this to happen especially on cruises that are selling fast.

If you are really picky about your room it is obviously a risk but sometimes it is a matter of booking the guarantee room or not going at all. This was the case for our Panama cruise in 2020. By the time we booked the only inside rooms available we’re guarantee. We booked 11b guarantee and we’re given a room in that category that was perfect. Very near mid ship and convenient to get pretty much anywhere.

If you link your reservation with your friends you can submit a request to Disney to assign you a room nearby but this is of course not guaranteed. To better your chances, make sure that you book the guarantee category (11a, 11b) etc that is across from their room. For example 11a is mid ship so if their balcony room is also mid that’s the guarantee category you want. If they are aft or forward you’ll want to book 11b. Or if all the rooms near them are deluxe inside you’ll want to book that. While upgrades are possible as mentioned above the vast majority of people who book guarantee will be assigned a room in that category.

No guarantees but get your reservations linked that way you eat together and Disney may try to put you near each other.

Last November a friend had a group of 10 (5 rooms) and they booked GTV. We booked about a month after and chose GTO. Our reservations were all linked because we wanted to eat together. We were pixie dusted and all of us got Family veranda's all together.
