We will be in Orlando in December and are planning on one day in the parks to see Christmas lights/decorations. Our 6 month-old grandchild will be with us so probably won't do much in the way of rides. Which park would you do for Christmas atmosphere? Any suggestions for things to do with a baby? Was hoping to get her photo with Santa.

I think the Magic Kingdom is best for kids, it is also the park that is most decorated for Christmas.

You could do Dumbo, Peter Pan, and Winnie the Pooh. Winnie the Pooh and Peter Pan have nice contrast image scenes which babies enjoy.

You could go to meet Mickey or the Princesses in MK to get some photos, too.

Santa is at Disney Springs from 12:00 pm to 10:30 pm., not in the parks.

Magic Kingdom hands down. That being said when the grandchild is old enough to appreciate it ( 5 or6 years down the road ) a day in EPCOT to see Christmas thru out the world is a great idea.

Magic Kingdom. There are many rides and shows that you can take your 6 month old on with you. Santa will be next to City Hall in Magic Kingdom.

Magic Kingdom for sure. No better park decorated for the holidays. Also, as mentioned above, you can take your child onto rides like the People Mover and COP, Small World, etc.

Make sure you're there into the night as well so your child can see the castle all lit up. So incredible!

If you're looking for more detailed Christmas decorations, I would suggest MK. Even if you don't do photo pass you can have the photographer get some great shots with the baby on your phone. If you do photo pass you will get some neat magic shots for Christmas.

The way I’d look at it is that your grandchild won’t have memories of it but you will. And there’s just something so much more endearing about being in MK and especially Fantasyland with a baby than at Epcot.
