Hi August travelers! How is the mood over here, optimistic? I am currently a July traveler but starting to make back up plans different months just in case and first attempt is switching out first week of July for first week of August.

I mean my mood is still optimistic until closures start pushing into July, but I was also optimistic about my April trip that was supposed to start this Thursday up until they decided to close the parks so take that however you want.

@Tomh you can remove us from roll call. Today we cancelled our tripflights keep changing and getting worse. Not sure when we'll reschedule

Don't mention it! As an alum of the DVC ROFR thread I knew it would be appreciated. For those who are wanting to do the same - simple. Just go to the first post of the thread and copy any of the other DIS user's trip dates into your post, edit, done.

Ditto! The border opening is a big question and if and what kind of quarantine measures might still be in place coming back. The other factor we're looking at is trip insurance for health etc.. It would be scary going knowing that medical bills wouldn't be covered at this point.

We rescheduled our Memorial Day weekend trip to 8.15-8.21 staying at BLT. Just me and the kids this trip! DH can't take time off in Aug

Just got some emails from southwest that shuffled around flights for each of the groups i'm traveling with in august. It's not the worst thing in the world as we now arrive within an hour of each other but two of our groups were fortunate to stay with direct flights where the other 2 groups got bumped to a connecting flight with a layover. Minor inconvenience for now but hopefully not a sign of things to come on the travel front. Glad I have nothing planned out for these days other than travel.

Our August flights shifted a little, too. They are still direct, which is good, and the times haven’t changed too much, but I hope they don’t change again.

Yeah I managed to help my Sister and her family get on the same direct flight as us, but my FiL I had to find a separate flight for. I got everybody back onto direct flights at least, my FiL just will be waiting in MCO for an extra hour before we arrive.
As an update to my Roll Call i'm Aug 1-8 at FW. Thanks!

Our August 6 flight to MCO on SW got changed (again). There's no nonstop flights available for our trip.
When flight opened in December, I booked 5:15-9:55 PM. 8 days later decided to go for a morning flight and changed it to 7:15 AM-2:15 PM. February 19 we got notification our flight was changed to 7:15 AM-5:15 PM. No thank you. I changed it to 11 AM-5:15 PM. At that time there were 8 available flights although most were the same flight to MCO, just leaving at different times for the first leg, so differing layover lengths. April 23 got notification our flight had changed again. It is now 12:05 PM-4:35 PM. 50 minute layover where we don't have to leave the plane. There are now only 3 flights available that day. I have little faith the flight will remain unchanged.

Hi all! My sister and our girls will be (hopefully) enjoying a weekend at Pop Century at the end of August. We plan on shopping at Disney Springs, eating out and some pool time. We also have tickets to MNSSHP so fingers crossed that we will get to experience this, as it will be their first time going to the party and I haven’t been since 2008.
