In addition to Mickey bars and Olaf bars, what other frozen treats were available? Interested in the chocolate covered bananas and the strawberry bars, especially the no sugar added strawberry bars.

:thanks:

I asked earlier on this forum if you were able to book and use fastpasses using your DAH tickets and someone responded yes. I called Disney today to ask an unrelated question about my FP and they told me I should cancel the FP the day of my DAH because it would burn one of my day passes I was going to use later in the week. I really got the feeling it was more of an effort to cut back on "free" fastpasses that aren't used using normal ticketed days, but she told me it would absolutely burn a single admission ticket I was planning on using later in the week if I used the FP (she specifically said FP use, not entering the park before closing/the start of the event). Has anyone done DAH and used FP who didn't have AP and didn't use a day pass that day - possibly had day passes for a later date in their trip and were able to confirm it would not burn a day pass? I have already signed up for fastpasses for 4 days and I only have a 3-day hopper and a ticket to DAH for my trip, which indicates to me that I can still use fastpasses the night of DAH (1 of those days for after the night of my DAH). Thanks to everyone for the amazing info, it really helps me make the most out of my short trip!

As long as you go in through the event tapstiles, you will be fine. And, if it would make you feel better, immediately check MDE to make sure that a regular ticket wasn’t used. I only had a DAH ticket and a one-day AK ticket. I made FPs on my DAH night and FPs for my AK day and had no problems.

I agree with PP - entering the park “uses” a park admission day, not using FPs, I think you got some bad info from the CM. I’m phoning a friend (@hiroMYhero) just in case there’s something about your question I’m not understanding. TY!

Just to clarify, are the event tapstiles clearly marked? I really don’t want to take the risk of losing our fop FP that are for the day after.

That makes me feel much better, Thank you... I don't know why, but I really just got the feeling that the CM had some ulterior motive to be telling me that, like the CM knew it would work but had been instructed to advise everyone against doing that to cut back on FP uses by DAH guest (thus allowing others guests to use those FP). I really got the feeling the CM was lying to me because they kept over stressing the point and told me to "spread the word that it won't work" to the point where I had to stop the CM and tell them "yeah... okay I got it..." I don't know it felt really disingenuous of them, and I could sense the dishonesty in their voice. It is disappointing, I wish they could give you a straight answer on questions like this, and other simple questions, e.g. "When can you enter the park for an event?" That should be a simple answer to a simple question, but often times it seems like if you believe the CMs answer, you could miss out on opportunities such as entering the park earlier than the scheduled time or missing out on the opportunity for additional fast passes which other guests will be afforded if they didn't listen to the CMs advice.

You’re correct. Using the FPs on the DAH day does not affect the remaining ticket entitlements.

Yes, in fact, I meant to add this picture. They flipped the sign so that it read “Event Entrance” about 5:40-ish. The event entrance is on the far left of the right side. So, almost in the center (notice the Mickey face flowers in the background).

That is how I understood the ticketing to work as well, however I was very clear with the CM that I wanted to enter the park at the scheduled start of the event (7 PM) and use fast passes (which I was able to sign up for on MDE) until "park close" at 9 PM.

I kind of alluded to it in my most recent post, but I had a feeling the CM was telling me what they had been instructed to say and not what they actually knew about the event. It was really disappointing, because I could almost tell they were being dishonest. I could be wrong though, and I will give them the benefit of the doubt that maybe that is what they have been instructed to say will happen or what they truly believe will happen. It is just really disappointing that you can get one answer from a CM and then ask another the same question and get a different answer from another CM - that or you know the experiences of others proves what they are saying is contrary to the truth.

I stopped by Guest Services by Hall of Presidents and asked if I would be able to pick up a lanyard for DAH on the 15th event. I was told yes at 7 pm they would be available to me there. Thankful I can head there following my early dinner at Skipper Canteen!

Wanted to pass on the information to all here.

That’s super helpful! Thank you for putting that on here. I’m planning on using our plastic dah cards to get in instead of our magic bands.

The strawberry bars were definitely available. It’s all the usual ice cream. The premium Mickey bar, the Mickey ice cream sandwich, the frozen banana, the strawberry bar, the frozen lemonade Olaf bar and I feel like I’m missing something. But basically all the ice creams you can usually get.

Is it just popcorn and ice cream?

Late report from 2.8

We arrived at a little before 7. The bypass was open, so we went over to Tomorrowland. We were going to ride Peoplemover, but it was stopped, so we did the speedway (we'd never done it before - glad it was only an 8 minute wait- wouldn't have been worth much more!) Peoplemover was back up (yay) so we rode that. The lights were on in Space, so we got to see the whole track - so cool!

We debated whether or not to watch the fireworks from the hub- DD really wanted to, so we found a spot on the Adventureland side of the hub - centered enough to see the castle, far enough over to escape right after the fireworks. A good spot, considering we walked up as the show was starting. I'm glad we did - I hadn't seen HEA from the hub. I may or may not have teared up a little...

After the fireworks we did:

Splash
BTMRR (2x - CM let us hang out on the exit platform and reboard in the back row after a train or 2 had gone by)
Pirates
Astro Orbiter (2x - loved seeing all the lights on main street!)
Space (so happy it was back up - 7 minute wait)
Barnstormer (4x - didn't get off)
Teacups
Winnie the Pooh
Carousel
7DMT (posted 30, actual less than 10)
Peter Pan

At 11:00 we walked up to Philharmagic and they said they were doing one last show, so we did that (DD was pretty tired by then, but she humored me!)

Finished at about 11:15 and walked our way to the front of the park, stopping for photopass pictures

Walked out to the bus area, and the line looked long, but we got on the next bus that pulled up - about 5 minutes wait. We were at the GF, and it only stopped at the Poly before the GF, so we were back in the room by midnight.

We hit the snack carts 2x for ice cream and waters.

Highlights - DD going cartwheels into Tomorrowland (until she got busted by a cast member who politely asked her to stop). A photopass photo of the two of us cracking up in front of the castle. Seeing a group of 4 cast members wearing kitchen whites being escorted onto Pirates by their manager so they could ride. Watching HEA with my DD!
Was the bus you took supposed to stop at more resorts, or did it just have Poly and GF? I heard that last year the bus for the monorail hotels stopped at WL and FW first too.

It only said Poly and GF. It was plenty full with just those 2 resorts!
Thanks! Still makes me more willing to wait for the bus. I have heard that Minnie Van availability has been poor with the opening of most of the resorts and the price went up to 25 dollars per ride.

Minnie Van is still $20 (or was on Saturday). Maybe including a tip? We got Minnie Vans a couple of times, but not at peak times like the end of DAH or anything.

I had a random 20% off rides from Lyft, and it took $2 off the cost of my Minnie Van too!

We were waiting for the bus at about 11:30 - so the big rush seemed to be over. Maybe our timing was good, but we only waited about 5 minutes and made the first bus that came (even though the line looked really long!)
