I am traveling to the Anaheim area the first week of November....and thought what a great excuse to stay at (or near) Disneyland (I am from New York, so I don't know when I will have this opportunity again).
In any case, I am having difficulty booking anything DVC or even say the Anaheim Hilton. Is something going on this week that would make it so difficult to book rooms? Any insight would be appreciated....
Thanks,
Ed

Disney has a room special running. The number of rooms in this special is limited.

Dapper Days is Nov 4th and 5th. This is an event at DLR. Although it is a non-Disney event

It's hard time get DVR a year out from what I understand.

Look at HomeWood Suites convention. My fave.

Spring Hill suites.

I could be wrong, but last year BlizzCon was also that weekend which sold out Fri/Sat/Sun super early. We are Marriott associates and whether they offer associate rates/how low they go is a decent indicator of conventions, etc...Sun-Wed of that week are pretty dead, but Thurs/Fri/Sat they don't offer anything at any of the Marriotts. I'm guessing BlizzCon + dapper days

ETA oops just saw PP comment...yeah BlizzCon IMO did not affect parks that much but hotels for that weekend were tough

DVC availability is hard to get even at non-popular times. FYI Dapper Days itself was VERY busy when I went last year.

We always stay at either the Hilton Anaheim or the Marriott Anaheim but could neither for our November stay 1-9th which wasn't over $4k :scared:

Ended up having to do a split stay 1-4Nov at the Fairfield then 5-9 at the Hilton/Marriott and that worked with availability and more reasonable prices. Seems anytime that incorporates those first few days is really expensive and hard to find,
best of luck!
