Non flip-flop/thong sandal recommendations

Another vote for Tevas!

I have these:

I generally have lots of problems with my feet - shoes that other people think are so comfortable give me blisters and pain. I don't know why. When we went to Disney in June 2010, I knew I didn't want my feet in sneakers because it was SO HOT, but I was very worried that the sandals just wouldn't cut it. They definitely did!! I couldn't believe that I had NO trouble with my feet walking miles and miles every day in those things! Unbelievable! They are definitely coming with me again on this trip!!

I've never worn sandals or flip flops since I've gone to WDW the last ten years. This year I bought Teva Hurricanes and Sanuk Flip Flops and they both feel very comfortable.

Well - the Merrells and the Tevas I ordered are a miss...the straps on both aren't adjustable enough to fit comfortably, so they are going back. Just ordered another 3 pairs from Zappos (2 other Keens and one Merrell) and 2 pairs of Sketchers from Overstocks.

One of these has got to work!

I wear a pair of Mootsie Tootsie sandals. I'm sorry I don't know the name of them, but they have spandex-type straps that hug my foot. And they are comfortable. I have a black pair and a khaki pair and I get two new pairs every year because I wear them out.

I'm afraid to wear shoes that expose my toes to the parks. I fear for their safety with all those people and strollers. I would hate to have to deal with a toe injury while trying to enjoy the parks.

Socks and sneakers for me!

This is one reason I don't wear sandals in the parks as well! :) I push a stroller, but I'll tell you, there are some people that use them as battering rams and not strollers. Plus, in crowded situations, toes can get stepped on (so can the tops of feet!).

I second the Abeo brand--only available at The Walking Company. If you have a retail store location where you live, I highly recommend going in and trying some Abeo models on. Somewhat pricey--but soooo worth it. I wore my Abeo sandals (a different model) all over Europe and WDW last year.

The previous year in WDW I traded off between Keens, socks and sneakers and Crocs flip flops. I found the Abeo sandals I wore on my last trip to be much more comfy than any of those.

I hope one of those slides work for you, OP! I prefer slides because I like as little material as possible touching my foot. I own 3 pairs of Keen Balis and a pair of Whispers. It is indeed nice to have your toes covered too.

I am currently testing Patricia II from Crocs (great so far). I tried the Skechers Bravos at Famous Footwear and they were no bueno for me, the top strap instantly dug into my big toe. I am also testing these, so far so good http://www.sierratradingpost.com/co...hoes~d~4/womens-footwear~d~19/&colorFamily=01

I am also a J-41 fan, have you looked at that brand?
