Newbie to DLP lots of questions

I booked our June 2019 trip this past June, and was able to take advantage of the 4 nights for the price of 2 offer.

Where did you find this offer? Also I only need a 1 day park hopper. I am concerned about paying more than I need for tickets I can't use. I am thinking about either staying onsite or in a nearby hotel and buying the ticket separate. Also I know I will lose the early entry. How bad are crowds in mid June on a Tuesday?
