I saw in the Disney Files magazine about this party on December 30. Does anyone know what all is involved in this party? Thanks in advance!

We did this last year and it was a highlight of our trip! The theme was Monsters Inc. and there were meet and greets with rare characters, Boo’s door and a pic we got to take home. Open bar, good selection of food and desserts. Entertainment (games)for the kids and a dance party. We got there right at the start of the party but we found there was a bit too much down time before the fireworks started. If I were to do it again I wouldn’t be in such a rush to get there!

We also went last year. Overall, we really enjoyed it. Theming was good. Lots of characters available to see. The photo booth was great. They had some activities set up outside too, but it was way too cold to enjoy them. The food and drinks were nice, but one big negative for us was no tables. They had a few high cocktail tables you stood at but no real tables or chairs. With 2 young kids, it was a little hard to juggle the food and drinks. We enjoyed seeing the fireworks, but they basically just escorted you outside to watch. Visibility was only ok. I was hoping we were going to be able to view from a balcony or something.

Where did they take you to view? Right outside the Fantasia market?

I just called member services and they aren’t taking reservations yet. About when did they start last year?

They took us outside on the ground level to see the fireworks. There was a big Christmas tree in the view. We could see the castle and it was fine but TOTWL is much better.
I don’t totally remember when we booked but I want to say Sept or Oct. Keep an eye out on the DVC website.

The DVC holiday parties are held in the convention center ground floor level.
