[New] Wishes Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace

Does anyone know if the new Dessert Party at Tomorrowland Terrace (starting 10/1) will guarantee seating during Wishes? I've read in the past that people run up to the railing to get a good view. They increased the price of the party for those at the terrace position, so I'm hoping I could actually sit and relax and enjoy the fireworks while sitting.

Whether they guarantee seating or not, people will still crowd around the railing (in front of you if necessary) because they believe it is the best view.

I thought they had moved the tables closer to the rail, so no one could stand in front of them?

Actually, from what I'm reading the current party doesn't state you get seating for the fireworks show. The new show states you will be escorted to seats for the show.

The "new" same-day dessert party has its viewing area in one of the Plaza Gardens instead of Tomorrowland Terrace. There are no chairs, just the hub grass to sit in.

Yes, the same day party i believe is in the plaza gardens, but you can also book in advance the Terrace Seating area; and they make it sound like you will actually be able to "relax" and enjoy Wishes while sitting. I have this booked [for now] for 10/1, the first night, and I'm just concerned we won't really be able to sit.

I just want to know if they will offer mini crème brulee..... photo from a 2014 party review.

I agree with @Missyrose I believe that they did move the tables closer to the rail. But I also read that some folks continue to push and squeeze their was in front of tables.
After all "I spent a lot of money to come here and I am entitled to stand where I want"
OP whether you can sit and relax or not depends on how rude those attending are.
Since I have not attend the new party personally, maybe I am wrong.
I hope someone who has will reply and answer your question.

That's not a "new" experience though.

I don't consider it rude for guests who paid the same amount for their dessert party tickets but were seated
at tables where the fireworks are cut off by the low roof to be upset and expect to be able to stand in a spot that DOES show all of the fireworks.

Disney has created this unfair situation and should be held responsible for false advertising.

It is shameful.

Yes, I definitely agree the low roof is to blame why people hustle to stand at the railing, and yes it is false advertising.

Having been a long-time WDW traveler, I knew for years that if you were going to sit in the Tomorrowland Terrace for the MK fireworks, you had better know exactly which tables offered a clear view.
And, BTW, those were very specific tables... and a very few.

When they first announced the high-priced "dessert parties" years ago, I protested that
they were putting them in a place of limited viewing.

Looks like the (former, and discontinued) "same-day" situation can now be reserved in advance.

And the seating option has now increased by $20/pp ... which is why I'm hoping it is actually "seating"

Last I heard (many weeks ago) the "same day" thing was no longer being done.

FYI - we were there this past week and (after being sent all over the place by different cast members), I finally was informed by a manager at guest relations that the same day fireworks reservations are no longer being offered. We got there on Tuesday of last week, and there were still a few signs up around MK advertising the event, but I could not find the podium to buy tickets and was eventually sent to guest relations.

We went back to MK on Thursday, and there were no longer any signs up advertising same day tickets (and again no podium). Same thing on Saturday.

It would appear the ship has sailed on the same day Wishes dessert party tickets.

There are two different reservation options for Wishes Dessert parties from October onwards. One is the traditional one with dessert and viewing at the Terrace (no idea about seating during the fireworks. The other is what used to be the same day option, with Plaza viewing. We booked the Plaza view option just after they started taking reservations.
