New to the boards. What does RD stand for?

Trying to catch on to the abbreviations. What does RD stand for?

Here are some pictures to show you from the MK from last Thanksgiving. The rope drop procedures have changed over the years, but I'm pretty sure this is still how it works at the MK. image.jpg

We had early breakfast reservations and this is where we lined up to get in early. Then they let the other guests in to see the morning welcome show in front of the train station.

When the park officially opens, the Cast Members hold a rope and walk the guests down Main Street.

RD= Rope Drop

Rope Drop is basically showing up to the parks about 15 mins before park opens.

I recommend that everyone does RD for the MK (Magic Kingdom) atleast once in their lifetime. Silly Disney puts on little singing and dance show to welcome their guest into the park for the day. They do it everyday 356 a year.

RD is also a park touring plan. The first 2 hrs of most park openings has the lowest crowd levels for that day and you can basically run to rides if the crowd levels for the day are under 6/7.
