Wow. This looks very cool and will make disneys gondola system look very dated.

I agree that the Hybrid Ground and Gondola Vehicle System sounds like an interesting concept. Having technical drawings along with a description of an aerial cable stile transportation system with a design to have the gondola be removed from the aerial cable transport system sounds like the easy part. Then to give the ground based “cart” a reliable power source gets a little tricky. The easiest power source for the carts would seem to be battery / electric motors. Perhaps an automated battery charging/insertion and removal stations could be part of the exit & entrance ramps for the cable transport system. I’ll pretend that they already have a proven reliable “no way” this cart release unit can activate while off the ground. If there is a real need for this type of system or it can be monetized (up-charged) we may see the actual system some ware in several years.

Yeah power will be interesting - perhaps some kind of automated return to charging warehouse overnight plus solar panels on the vehicle's roofs for top up charging during the day?

What would be the need for ground transportation? Is it from resort to park? Why wouldn't they just do a gondola between them?
