New Embarkation Day Concierge Lunch?

Was there a host at the lunch or were they all in the lounge? That was our plan too (lunch, drop of carry-ons in room, meet up with our cruise meet group at 2 and then head to the lounge when it is quieter). But I'm wondering if we should stop by the lounge first and then go to lunch. We do plan to be at the port early.

When we got on board, a host (Tawanda) mentioned to us about going to the lounge or the lunch. Then while at the lunch, he swung by again and spoke to us for a bit. Then we went to the lounge and met with Ashley to go over things. Also the bartender that swung by in the lunch was our bartender in the lounge for the cruise.

On the magic this past week, two hosts were in the lounge and one in the lunch restaurant.

We got back on Monday from our 3 day cruise on the Dream, so I thought I'd report back. We got to the port around 10:05, took about 15-20 minutes to get into the parking garage. But there was no line at the concierge check-in desk, where we were told about the lunch in Royal Palace. Then a few minutes before 11, Danny came to the waiting area and briefly explained the new lunch option again. We were on the ship by about 11:15 and asked whether we wanted to go to the Royal Palace or straight to the lounge. We opted to go to Royal Palace and I'm very glad we did! You can tell they are definitely trying to drum up enthusiasm for the new lunch and direct people there. I made sure to mention to two different people how much we enjoyed it and what a good idea we thought it was.

It was a very relaxing way to start the vacation and the entire thing only took us about 45 minutes. That was one of the things I was very impressed with about all of our dining experiences...the timing was absolutely on point. I never felt like it was dragged out and each course arrived promptly with very little delay between courses. It was just the two of us, and we don't typically linger over our meals so we loved this!

Danny escorted us to the lounge where there were only two other groups meeting with hosts. It wasn't crowded at all and we only waited long enough for them to pull our file. We were in our room by 12:30. So all in all, it was an excellent and stress-free experience!
