My ideal central CA coastal town?

Embarcadero Inn in Morro Bay is a little more reasonable.

Thank you. The reviews said it's right on the street so even though you have unobstructed views of the harbor, there is street/car noise. We do prefer a quieter place.

But I think we've narrowed it down to stay somewhere at Morro Bay as our base for a few nights. (rather than Pismo Beach or SLO)

My in-laws live in Cambria, near Hearst Castle, and its a really quaint little town.
We always stay with them, but sometime I'd love to stay at The Madonna Inn. http://www.madonnainn.com/

Someone earlier mentioned the Madonna Inn. I have looked through their website in the past. Just re-looked at all the rooms. I just couldn't sleep in any of those rooms. Yikes! Kitsch on steroids. Sorry, definitely NOT our taste.
