Will the Hat Shop on Main St. allow them to do this?

Name from a window on Main Street that is NOT a store
need a few possible answers

Obtain a Park Map that is in a Language other than ENGLISH

Obtain a Recipe for food made at Disneyland (Hint: you do not go to a Restaurant to obtain this item)

yeah people come on help kelli out, she asked me i had to turn her down although i was honored, but anyhow let's post ideas and maybe someone else can actually be at the park and help her cause really that is what she needs!!

one of the road blocks could be you have to take a picture with a parade in the back ground, or you have to get fast pass from a specfic or any ride for a specific time that way you may have to adjust your time and location based on activities going on int the park.

I think I'll start like this:

Whoo Hoo! You are at Disneyland! You are here because you participated in Disney's "Give a Day - Get a Disney Day". What can you put on your shirt that will tell everyone at the Park you are "Celebrating"?

Answer/Task: Go to City Hall and get a "I'm Celebrating" sticker and put it on your shirt!

I've never watched Amazing Race...but there have been several great scavenger hunts posted recently. Would those help with your planning? (Or maybe you could just give the kids a scavenger hunt?)

Again...I don't know the show, but the scavenger hunts look like great fun. Maybe try searching for those?

Nala that a good idea, I'll attached some scavenger hunt links. I'm sure picking through those will present some good challenges.

I have posted something similar to this somewhere else, but did not get a great response.

What I am trying to do is develop/create an "Amazing Race" with "Route Information", "Detours", "Roadblocks", and all specifically for Disneyland.
It must be geared toward my Girl Scouts (ages 9 - 16).
It also must cost little or no money.
I would like it to include every "Land" at Disneyland.

What do you say ?

In the attached thread you can get some scavenger hunt ideas, they are for WDW but still give some good ideas for thing you could do at DLR.

I was not much of a "Amazing Race" fan myself eaither. But the Scavenger Hunt Idea goes hand-in-hand with this. So, between Scavenger Hunt Ideas and Amazing Race ideas we'll figure it out.

I've never seen that show either, but here is a scavenger hunt we actually did with our teen boys this summer at DLR. They had to take pictures of everything. I got ideas from my own experiences and from looking at the Daily DLR picture thread.

Get either an autograph with Chip or Dale
Or a pic with Chip or Dale

Clue:
Find these felines where there's food...

Answer:
Find one of the DL cats

This next one may cost you a little money, but the kids would get a chuckle out of it...

Clue:
Go find a place where coins are squished..

Answer:
Have them press a penny... cost 51cents

Thats all I can think of at the moment... Hope that this gives you some ideas!

I am printing out all the ideas and suggestions and keeping them in a folder.

Let's keep the ideas and clues coming . . . . . . I'd like to get 100!

My idea is to end it at the Flag Retreat Ceremony.

I can't help it...I'm a creative and artistic kind of person. Here's another one or more that I'm thinking up...

Clue:
I'm a princess that fell asleep on the job

Answer:
Take a tour of Sleeping Beauties Castle

Clue:
I'm a rather mischevious fairie that likes to "tinker"

Answer:
Have them visit Pixie Hollow and see one of Tinks friends

Clue:
I'm rather "horse" and love going in circles

Answer:
Have them go on King Arthurs Carousel

Clue:
I'm a rather evil fiend and the Dark side is with me

Answer:
Have them watch Jedi Training Academy

Road block:
Find where there is a gypsy and have your fortune read...
There is a Gypsy I think at the Penny Arcade on Main street that you can have your fortune read for 50cents.

Clue:
Go find where the Abominable Snowman lives...
Answer:
Go on the Matterhorn bobsleds

Clue:
Visit a place where birds sing and flowers bloom...
Answer:
The Tiki Room

Roadblock:
Go get a drivers license
Have them go on Autotopia

Clue:
In this mountain you will see Hillbillie animals that are wild and free,
but be careful, you will find you'll be good and wet at the end of thee..
Answer:
Ride Splash Mountain

I have no idea if any of these will help but ill try.

1. If you smile at me as you see your reflection, I will smile my big cheesy grin right back at you.

Answer: Cheshire cat mirror.

2. I have no idea how to phrase it but taking a picture in front of the carriage in front of the haunted mansion.

3. Walt Disney once made a purchase of this tree, which is now placed in the park with a plaque.
Answer: Petrified tree

4. Girl scouts always leave the place cleaner than they first found it. Take a picture putting trash into three DIFFFERENT unique trashcans.

5. Visit New Orleans square and find the entrance to where Walt invited guests to dine with him.

Answer: club 33

6. Walt once lived in the park, find the dimly lit candle in his room and take a picture.
answer: Above fire house

7. Take a picture with at least one cast member wearing a trading lanyard for pins. Extra points if its a childs only lanyard.

8. Get a sticker from a Disney Vacation club member. (free)

9. Part of the girl scout law is to be a sister to every girl scout, therefor you are family. Get ONE family reunion pin to wear.
- City hall they are free

10. Take a picture in front of a Wait time sign reading 10-15 mins. (specify own time)

11. Take a picture in front of the sign showing how long Each fast pass ride is. (On left side of main stree at the end if facing castle.)

12. Snow white often sings here. Take a picture as you make a wish.

13. Take a picture as you are in a jail cell as convicts. (Toon town)

14. Take a picture sitting in a tea cup but not on the ride. (To the right of tea cup ride)

15. Take a picture driving a car from a wild ride. (mr toad. car out side of ride)

16. Take a picture at the gas station. (Toon town)
