Mom in hospital

Found out this afternoon my mom has been having tremors in her legs and arms for the last day. The doctor sent her to the hospital today, and I found out a few hours ago they were admitting her. They aren't sure what is wrong. My sister and I live 2.5 hours away, and all I want to do is hug her. I kept telling her I'd come and she said not too. Not sure if I should still go anyway? She is going to be 65 and I worry about her. My aunt is with her earlier today.

Only you know if you Mom will be upset if you go in spite of her saying not to. If it were my mother, I'd be headed there.

You only have so much time with your parents.

Sending prayers and good thoughts to your mom. If it was me, I would be headed to the hospital. My mom passed away 3 years ago and the one thing we say....never enough time.

I am very sorry about your mom, I certainly know how scary it can be to get that call, if it would make you feel better to see her, then I think it is likely worth the drive. :grouphug:

She just called again. She said she'd rather me wait. If they will release her if she had someone at home, then she said for sure. Besides the tremors, she is perfectly healthy :(

She sounds like she loves you a lot and vice versa! You are so very lucky to still have her with you! Make sure she clears you or some other family member to talk to her doctors/nurses if necessary. That's one of the best things you can do, long distance, that and give support to the nearest relative. I hope she's home soon and feeling all better!!!

I hope she is home soon and has a speedy recovery! It's difficult to not be nearby...especially if she is alone. Perhaps follow with your aunt who was with her earlier.? will she give you an accurate picture of the situation?

Just want to say Thank You to everyone for the advice. I woke up today at 8am and realized I needed to go be with her. I'd rather regret going than regret not going. The biggest reason she didn't want us to come is because she knows missing work means less $$$. I'll be at 2-3 days with no pay, but in the end, momma is worth it. She was shocked when we walked in. The funniest part is, we had to stop at her house first to drop off the cats (we brought them since it was so last minute and no idea how long we will be here). Well my aunt had locked the top lock on the door and we couldn't get in. My sister literally had to crawl thru a tall window. :rolleyes1
Her new neighbors who don't know us well were very confused. But so far all of her results have come back normal. Blood work for the basics looks perfect. Waiting on a specialist tomorrow.

Callie, I sure hope your Mom will be fine. I know when I was diagnosed with a rare lung disease and being in the hospital last year for a week, my sons sooooooo know how you are feeling.

My DIL just went through this but with her DM & chest pains. Turns out to be pulled muscle but @ 70 precautionary.

Wait abit, maybe talk to aunt? In the meantime vibes for your DM.
