Just thought I'd post a note that when I dialed in for tickets to Mickey's Halloween Treat party at DCA this morning, I was told that the 28th and 29th of October were sold out :guilty: ...BUT since it had become so popular they've added 2 additional dates! The 27th and 30th are now available as well :earboy2:

I was able to get tickets for our party of 7 for the 27th, thank goodness!!

A quick P.S. on this...the tickets are normally $20 for non-APers, but I was able to still get the $15/person rate since I have a Disney Visa.

Something to keep in mind in case the particular CM you talk to when ordering doesn't offer the deal :)

If you go to Disneyland.com and go to the "tickets only" section you will find the Halloween Treat tickets there.

Advanced Purchase Price of $18.00 ($20 at the gate)

Currently the only dates they are selling for are Oct 27th and Oct 30th, so I'm guessing all the other dates are sold-out. (Glad I got my tickets for the 21st early!!!)

My family and I will be visiting CA in October, but will be heading back to TN the 22nd in the morning, so the 21st is the only night we can go. We tried to get tickets, but after getting a busy signal for 2 hours, were finally told that the 21st was sold out. Does anyone have or know where we could find four extra tickets for the California MNSSHP? Any help would be greatly appreciated and compensated. Thanks in advance.

My best advice would be to check Ebay. I saw quite a few of these out there although you will probably have to pay a bit more than $20 per ticket. I know a lot of people wanted to go closer to Halloween, so with the new nights added, maybe some people will be willing to sell you theirs so they can go on the 30th.

Good luck!

THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH FOR POSTING ADDITIONAL DATES FOR THE PARTY. I JUMPED OVER TO THE DISNEY WEBSITE AND GOT TICKETS FOR THE 30TH FOR MY FAMILY. WE ARE SO EXCITED. WE CAN HARDLY WAIT.

WE WERE LOOKING AT SOME COSTUMES LAST NIGHT. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THEY WILL ALLOW A PLASTIC PLAY SWORD FOR MY SON'S PIRATE COSTUME? YO HO YO HO, A PIRATES LIFE FOR ME pirate:

Since they sell plastic swords at the parks, I'm inclined to say yes.

I have to ask, are you paying $20.00 more dollars on top of the admission price to get in??

I'm just wondering what is so great about this Halloween ticket??

BTW, I'm an AP ticket person. I was just curious.

No, you do not have to have regular park admission in addition to this event. The Halloween Treat is being held at DCA after normal park hours. I think DCA closes at 6pm and the Halloween Treat starts at 7:00 (or 7:30) something like that.

So, is DCA going to escort all those people out of the park that paid the full admission price at 6:00pm?

And the same for Disneyland?. I'm just wondering how this is going to work out for all the attendees that are there enjoying themselves at the parks?

I mean you are talking about thousands of people here. I guess Im a little clueless here. :confused3

CA Adventure already closes at 6pm, so it's not like they are shutting down the park early and short changing other guests. That's the hours of operation during this time of year. I don't know exactly how they are going to do it, but I guess they will announce the closing of the park, and then give about an hour or so to get everyone out, then open it back up for Halloween Treat guests with those special event tickets.

Disneyland is not closing. It will remain open for normal hours while the Halloween Treat is going on in Ca Adventure. I imagine when CA Adventure closes at 6pm, most of those folks will head over to DL for the rest of the evening.

If DCA has any sense, they will do as MNNSHP does. You get a wristband when you enter the park. Only those with the wristband get the candy and rides. Eventually those without the wristband exit the park.

I'm pretty steamed about the sold-out dates. FYI, when the phone lines first opened on the 15th, all dates were supposedly available. We madly dialed and got through, only by then the nights we are in California were sold out, the 21st and 22nd. A treat to see DL on the 50th, even though it would have been cheaper to go to WDW. The original two dates the next weekend WERE still available. Some over at Mouse Planet are claiming the general public was only invited for those dates if the AP holders did not sell it out. Well, it might as well have been an AP event, too bad it was not promoted that way. Should have been promoted as a sure-fire way for some AP holders to make big bucks by selling the seven extra tickets they got on eBay.

I feel DL really mismanaged this. Reminds me of some of the Food and Wine Fest, advertise it to the general public, but make sure lots of events are sold out to the Florida diners before the general public gets a chance to buy tickets. Sheese. When do those of us who live in Middle America ever get a Disney perk? Especially when we pay a fortune to get there once a year. Especially when we already have to pay for the air and hotel before the tickets go on sale.

what exactly happens at this party? The kids get candy and what else.

Counting down until our trip. :cheer2:

They are supposed to be having some special shows... trick-or-treating (for all ages!)... I think the details have been rather vague as to what they are going to be doing... guess we'll find out when we get there.

Details have been rather vague, but I still ordered my tickets online. Thanks for answering my questions vascubaguy.

I'm still trying to figure out how they are going to get everyone out of the park. Unless they completely shut down all the rides at 6:00p.m. until 7:15pm lets say, and then let everyone in with the Halloween ticket in.

My hubby and I were still trying to figure out how all of this is going to happen.

Sorry to hijack your thread densekayt. I guess I need to start my own thread.

Someone from above mentioned a wristband, well that seems to make sense.

Anyone else with other ideas?

No problem on posting to my thread Ginarella! If truth be told, I've been feeling a bit proud of my little thread....I think it's the first posting I've made that's grown to more than about 5 or 6 responses! :rotfl2:

On the closing the park...I'm guessing since the park closes at 6:00pm, they will probably just be extra stringent about getting folks out after closing time so that they can be ready for the 7:30pm party :)

I'm glad I read this thread today. I told my TA that I wanted tickets for the 29th with that being DDs birthday. Now I just need to call her tomorrow and let her know I bought them on my own for the 27th. I figure I can just stay longer at DL on the 29th. At least they added dates. Now I need to get a costume for myself.

I agree that the powers that be should not have advertised if the tickets for certain dates were going to be sold out before the public sale date.
