Memory Maker Help

My friend bought MM for her extended family for their upcoming trip. Since my family will be at wdw on 2 of those days, she has graciously offered to let us use her memory maker.

How does that work? We are not traveling together and our reservations are not linked.

Do I just need to get a photopass card and have her enter the number?

That's one option.

Another option would be to connect via the Family & Friends list. There is an option available when you add a guest to connect through a Disney Resort Reservation.

I plan to purchase the Memory Maker. Can I add people to my friends and family list *after* I purchase it? Or do they have to be already existing on list in order to be able to use it?
