2 year old will need to wear mask on transportation. Otherwise it's recommended but not required for them to wear one indoors.

While I'm mask neutral at this point, I'm VERY happy that I won't have to wear one on splash mountain or any other ride that has part of the ride outside but an indoorish queue.

Yes, but that mandate is currently scheduled to end March 18th. Could it be extended again? Yup, and seems more likely it will be then it won't be. But, it's not that far away if it doesn't get extended.

I've been looking for info on whether or not they will extend the mandate. Can I ask where you found out it seems likely? Official websites are useless on this.

I think that is also under the directive of the federal government, so if that's right it will depend on if they extend their mandate beyond 3/18.

My trip is early May, so hopefully all masks dropped by that point. Don’t mind for myself but not fun on 2 year old

Just so you know, the masks on transportation is due to a federal policy. It won't be gone until all federal transportation policies are removed.

I found it out nowhere. I only said "likely" because it has been extended every other time thusfar so theoretically it's more likely than not.

Make the decision that’s best for your family. My son is 1 has been to disney and hawaii multiple times and is fine. He’s gotten sick from daycare rather than any vacation we’ve been on.

This is amazing news! Definitely a step in the right direction. We went with masks required and my daughter came home with Covid anyway. I really hope this is the real end of masking in Disney World.

Last time they lifted the mandate children were not eligible for vaccines and kids were all over Disney without masks. It won’t be policed. No one will care.

The people who want to mask their children for their safety will care otherwise parents will make their own decisions.

Are cast members excluded from getting the vaccine and boosters? I'm confident Disney will let them still wear face coverings and/or face shields.

Disney's statement is, 'Beginning February 17, 2022, Face coverings will be optional for fully vaccinated Guests in both outdoor and indoor locations. We expect Guests who are not fully vaccinated to continue wearing face coverings in all indoor locations, including indoor attractions and theaters. Face coverings will still be required by all Guests (ages 2 and up) on enclosed Disney transportation, including Disney buses, monorails, and Disney Skyliner.'
