Just a quick note - flew down on Thursday, March 4 - arrived Orlando around 9:00, reached Epcot by 10:15. No crowds at all! With fast pass, managed all attractions easily, including as many multiple rides as we wanted (crowds did not build until after lunch) - including mission space!

Next day, Friday, did Magic Kingdom, arrived around 8:30 a.m., leisurely strolled to entrances towards splash mountain, were first on the attraction (lots of special treatment, including free photo, wonderful escort to front of line on thunder mt. (thanks Jack!!!), did both several times, and only then did small lines start - basically managed everything with a few FP juggles, not a wait more than 10 minutes anywhere - including all major attractions.

Saturday - stayed at Universal hotel property, so were spoiled - arrived at around 8:00 AM , "checked in" for the front of line room keys, had them hold bags Then water bus to Univeral, No lines, rode jimmy neutron (fun), then twister, then jaws, then Back To Future (2 times), then MIB (three times), then ... too much to recap... but even without hotel first in line, hardly any lines, terrific! ended up with earthquake (boring!) and Shrek (cute).

As an aside - Terminator D2? Hello? Guide book said best attraction in Florida- snoozed though it ! So did DH and DS! Totally bogus imho.

Sunday - arrived Islands of Adventure a few minutes before 9, did Hulk twice, could have done more without a wait (maybe 10 minutes if no express pass), Spiderman, no wait, twice (again, maybe 10 without express pass), no wait at all for Jurrasic, or even Dueling Dragons, could have done twice ... had to leave for airport.

The point being: WOW, no crowds, get there early and be smart, and you'll never wait more than 10 minutes

we were there 2/26 - 2/6. fri 2/27 at magic kingdom it did get busy but not horrible. again the key was to get there early and use fast pass.
the rest of the time was pretty manageable as well.

We were there 2/28 - 3/7 as well. The weather was wonderful and the crowds very manageable. Never had more than a 15-20 minute wait on anything. Many rides were walk-on's or no more than 5 minutes. We are SPOILED now.... this is definitely a great time of year to go!!!

yeah, but wait till people start posting about the 10th and on......

You were not there in a true spring break period. That period starts now. But your tips are good ones for all those going in the next few weeks.

I am glad you had a great time and were able to do so much. :bounce:

?? Never represented this as being typical of spring break, in fact quite the opposite.

The purpose of the post was for people who were going to be following shortly, or who might want to plan for a similar time next year.

In any event, we were so spoiled, we will never go at any other time than way off peak!

:)

The only time we used fast pass was Splash Montain, everything else as under 15 minutes (unless the ride broke and we waited for it to be fixed...BIG mistake!!) . It was a great week to be there!

I was there Feb 29th till March 5th and I was loving the no waiting time for the rides too. It was my first time being there at off peak times because I've just finished school and it was great!! :bounce:

also there 2-28 thru 3-7. Agree with original poster that "spring break crowds" had not fully arrived yet. Great weather, not empty parks, but no where near summer or holiday congestion. Low wait times.

DH and i agreed that it was a great time to go and would schedule around that time again if the oppertunity came up.

It is worth noting that easter is a ways off this year so that may have something to do with it. I would bet that if easter fell earlier in a year that some spring breaks would be scheduled earlier and throw off that one week lull in the parks.
