Are the start groups actually divided within each corral by some physical entry point, or is it just the honor system to be part of the wave you are assigned?

“Start Groups” are just a different name for “corrals”. You’ll go to the corral/start group assigned as usual and the mini-waves will be split up within that grouping.

Thanks, this marathon is my first rD race with these start groups like this, I think. Im used to a whole bunch of letters and once you're in a corral, that's it.

You should be C! I JUST made POT for C by seconds according to track shack when I emailed them and I am 213XX. Of course things could have changed but I’m hopeful.

I am Dopey 213xx and had a 2:08:02 HM POT. Looking like maybe I squeaked into C.

I thought I understand, but the more I read, the more confused I get. Are A, B, C, etc. gone completely and replaced by S1, S2, etc or are there S groups within each letter?

I have Half bib 434xx with no POT, estimated 2:16-2:30
DH has Goofy 301xx with 4:28 marathon POT
DS has marathon bib 16xx with no POT, estimated 5:00-5:15 (I think—it may have been 5:16-5:30)

Dopey bib #201XX with a 1:34 POT from the 2022 Princess half.
I was #202XX in 2022 and 2020 Dopey, and A corral for both events.

As the corral moves up towards the start there is a point where staff/volunteers will cut part of the corral off and divide it with a tape line.

My Dopey bib is 45 less than last year. So I am assuming it will be the same corral...S3

There are mini-waves within each group. If you line up at the front of your corral, you’ll be in the first mini-wave. There‘s no physical division within the corral as you’re waiting, but once you get near the start line, you might be stopped to wait for the next mini-wave.
