Looking at the Nov 2018 calendar posted at Mousesavers it looks like they have announced the Mickeys Very Christmas Party. We are not going to the after party but wondering if we should go on days when the party is not happening.

It looks like on non party nights the park is open in MK from 9-9 (only 2 days that week without the after party). Are the parks busier on days with or without the Mickeys Very Merry Christmas Party? We have a 5 day NON hopper ticket so we were thinking 2 days in MK, 1 in epcot, 1 in AK, and 1 in HS.

Also we are staying onsite 2 days of our trip - when do they announce which park has extended hours for resort guest? Sorry for all the questions its been 27 years since our last visit :)

Party days at MK are much less crowded during the day. If you're okay with a short day, I'd do at least one of your MK days on a party day. You'll have to leave MK at 6:00, but you could use the evening to go to Disney Springs or maybe take in Chip n Dale's campfire over at Ft. Wilderness. I think you'll be very surprised at how much more you get done in MK on this day.

In order to be able to see the fireworks show, you'll need one of your MK days to be on a non-party day. It will be crowded! Just be sure to have a good plan for this day.

EMH should already be on the calendar. Check here: http://www.wdwinfo.com/wdwinfo/hours/november18.cfm

FYI, the hours currently on the schedule will very likely be changed. Disney hasn’t been updating park hours until around a month out, and sometimes closer - so consider what you see now as a basic placeholder. Looking at that same week last year, ignoring the party days (and a special CM event date which isn’t happening this same week this year), MK hours were 8AM-12AM and 9:00 AM-10PM, depending on the day.

Fantastic thank you both. 1 question some of the extra park hours for resort guest are also the MVMCP days. If they are allowing you to say 2 extra late hours in the park how does that work with the party going on? Likely would not be staying that late as we have a 6 year old who may not love the late nights. He only stays up late on nights we are all tired or so it seems.

EMHs can either be AM or PM. When you see MK have EMHs on a party date, they would only be AM EMHs.

While there are exceptions, the somewhat typical MK EMH pattern is PM EMHs on Wednesday, AM EMHs on Friday. There are numerous Fridays during “party season” that have AM EMHs then a party that night.

Hope that makes sense!
