Location of Boat to HS from Epcot

where in Epcot do we get the Frienship boat to HS?

Near the International Gateway entrance in the World Showcase.

Exit at the International Gateway between France and UK in EP and walk to your left. You'll see the boat dock.

We rode the boat multiple times last May and August and didn’t find it to be hot at all. The windows don’t open anymore, and the A/C was adequate. Not icy, but comfortable, at least in the front where we like to sit. YMMV.

If you walk following the pink walking plan in Robo's photo above, is there signage for the portion that seems to cut through part of the Boardwalk buildings?

Some, if you're not sure head to the pool, definitely signed from there. (you can just about see it on the map). When you walk from Epcot you follow the board walk around until you get to a small grassed area that's the back of the Boardwalk entrance lobby. Rather than go up the steps to the entrance, on the right hand side past the shop, there is a cut through to the pool area, walk around the pool to the other side & you pick up the walkway to HS alongside the waterway where the boats go.

To each their own, but I like to save my feet for the parks. That walk is like a half mile.

Plus I enjoy riding the boat. I think the scenery is beautiful.

True if you're near the front of the park, not if you're already in the WS, especially near the dock, right?

The boat and walkway are both outside of both Epcot & DHS secure zones, so when you arrive at DHS you go through bag check with everyone else. There’s only one entrance to DHS.

And if you take the boat or walk from DHS to Epcot, you go through bag check at the IG.

True if you're near the front of the park, not if you're already in the WS, especially near the dock, right?

If you can walk at a good pace then you'll beat the boat, considering leaving from where the boat leaves right outside the IG

If you're near the front of the park you'd be better off driving, Uber, or taking a bus

I don't need to get there the quickest, but I do need to get there the most rested and relaxed.

The boat will make 3 stops at resorts en route and you may have to wait for a boat to arrive to pick you up, but it's a pleasant ride along the way.
