Today it's 77 and sunny. The temps have been pretty consistant in the mid 70s to low 80s for a month now. It's cooler at night, in the mid to high 60s. We did get a lot of rain the 2nd half of november, but it seems to have settled down now. Good thing is that everything is green. Now, I personally, being originally from new england, would sit on the beach all day today and I don't mind going in the water. It's cooler than the summer, but it will never be as cold as Maine beach water, which I also happily swim in. The sun is plenty hot for me. It's not humid at all, it's glorious. On the other hand, I've had friends and friends of friends come who think it's too cold (compared to winter vacations they've taken in the carribean, mexico, etc). My good friend has her cousins staying with her, and they're all complaining like crazy because they wanted HOT HOT HOT. It's not.
I think it's just important to have some realistic expectations. Look at historic weather data. There isn't much variation from year to year, and without the melting humidity, the weather generally feels just like it says it feels.
