Jambo! The newest AKL Information thread

Unfortunately I have Had to cancel our July trip but hoping to change to October and have been offered a stay at AKL - Jambo House. Savannah view. I’m a bit confused with the room descriptions names etc. What I am really looking for is a room that has 2 queens and a fold out sofa bed. If such a room exists in Jambo House what exactly should i be looking to book or request ? I see a larger room referred to as a deluxe but cant see that in the booking category.

Any assistance is appreciated.

I'm not sure if that kind of room exists anymore....they changed those rooms into DVC, on Giraffe Trail....

I believe buses to the parks stop at Kidani first then Jambo, but to Disney Springs they stop at Jambo first. Those are the only two stops.

This is true. Unless it’s changed since my last stay (August 2018)

So....we're moving our trip. Excited that we're rescheduling instead of outright cancelling, and excited we'll still be at AKL, we just have a little longer to wait now! You can update us at your convenience - instead of 4/14-4/25, we'll be there 9/8-9/19. Thank you!

Anyone keeping their reservations for June? I’m June 13-20th at Jambo House and, so far, we’re sticking it out to see if it’s open. If it’s not, we’re planning to reschedule for November, but for now we’re keeping it. Anyone else?

I don’t think any of the regular resort rooms at AKL have fold out sofa beds. Occupancy max is 4 adults plus one child/infant under age 3.
There are club level 1 br. suites which have 2 queens and a sofa bed, that sleep 6 - if budget is not a concern. And there are DVC villa 1 br.s that have a king bed, sleeper sofa, and sleeper chair that sleep 5. But if you want a regular hotel room w/ 2 queens and a sleeper sofa in the room you might need to consider other resorts such as the Poly or YC/BC.

We are in the same boat as you. We are going for my son's grad trip and we still don't know if and when the ceremony will be rescheduled for. It's so heart breaking

Hi all, our last stay at AKL was the end of October 2019. Has the remodel of all the rooms been complete. While we didn't mind the renovations going on while we were there, it did make for getting around to be a like tricky with certain wings being closed due to construction

On check in day, how early can you access the club level lounge? How late on check out date?
