I had written before I think, but basically we thought we'd have time for ourselves on the beach etc and we didn't. :( We grabbed the balloons and started taking fun shots with them while we walked over to the boardwalk!

Last I left off we had been introduced and had our first dance. I haven't shared these with anyone but unfortunately there are pics when we first came in and I can just see it written on Josh's face :(

We went into our first dance:

We had some cry-ers in the room (myself included) :)

After our dance and our salad, we took off with J&M and headed to the boardwalk! After what had just happened, I was so glad we were taking time to ourselves again to regroup.

At this point, Vita had come down to scold us for leaving the reception. The photograhers took care of her but let us know we couldn't stay down here forever. At this point my feet were killing me, my shoes HURT! So much for comfort. But I'm sure the heat/swelling didn't help. Since she came down and told us to come back, we didnt head to the photobooth, bummer. Then I wanted to take a pic with the Boardwalk sign lit up. We head out there and there's an ME bus in the way. We decide we'll wait anyway, then as that bus is getting ready to pull away, another one comes... grrr! Since Vita had already yelled at us, we decided not to wait and went back. I definitely regret this, that was a picture I wanted and when we went back inside, dinner had already been served, so Josh & I sat down and ate. We could have stayed out taking pictures longer and no one would have noticed (besides Vita apparently). We did get amazing pictures so I really can't complain about that, I just feel foiled. So if there's a shot you future brides want, tell your planner to wait and go for it!! :thumbsup2

We came back in and sat down for dinner, the photographers disappeared so I assume they went to eat too. We got them all full meals and asked Vita to set them up a table in one of the smaller rooms. As far as I know this happened, we didnt have any complaints! :)

The food was delish! As soon as we sat down, people starting coming up to us. I had gotten Josh a lobster tail with his chicken and surprised him, so the table closest on his side was his parents, aunts and uncles etc. They were making comments about HIM getting lobster.. helloooooo this is HIS wedding?! Stinkers.. haha I did notice the songs while we were eating. I had made a specific list of songs I wanted played, during dinner, in the beginning of dancing, at the end of the night etc. Thankfully he abided by this for the rest of the night. I honestly think Josh scared the crap out of him in the beginning of the night and he didn't dare waiver from the list. However, I was glad he played what I asked.

We were able to eat our full plates and then it was time for our parent dances! We decided to do both parents at once and we danced to Ben E. King's "Stand By Me". I think the song worked really well and everyone seemed to enjoy it

Up next: cake cutting!! We asked the DJ to play I can't help myself by the Temptations as we cut the cake! Some man came and helped us, I didn't see him before he helped us and I didn't see him after. lol No idea who he was! He handed us a knife and plate and told us what to do, then he cut it into small pieces for us and handed it back so we could feed each other. Talk about service! haha

It occurs to me now after seeing pictures that we didn't have a cake stand. We were never told about them, offered one, and I never thought to ask. hmmm... hahaha

After cake we had about an hour left of the reception and we got back to dancin! I had listed slow songs on my "Must Play" list, all of the slow songs were first dance songs of couples at our wedding. Granted, there were about 15 on there, BUT he only played about 5. :( My mom did comment afterward that he didn't play my parents' song. I did feel bad for the people's who's songs werent played, since I did have him announce the songs he did play. Even though our wedding was fun and high energy and everyone was up dancing, I wish there had been more slow songs. He did play my sister and BIL's, my parents best friends daughters, one of my bridesmaids, one of joshs cousins, and our photographers. I was extremely happy he played our photographers. They had no idea I found out their song on the sly, or that we were going to play it. Their faces were priceless, as they took their cameras off from around their necks and got on the dance floor. I really adore them and it made my heart happy they were able to enjoy themselves, even for a 4 minute song, during our wedding :) Completely unexpected, they blogged about it while we were on our HM!

Us with our amazing photographers:
TriciaJosh-0284.jpg

At the end I requested Living on a Prayer. I also said no DJ interaction, but he had us all circle up on the dance floor, and it was really fun so I didn't mind!
All our closest family and friends were right here with us, no one could take that moment from us :)

When Josh and I first started dating, his best man Jay had just gotten engaged to Mary (couple on the right), they are about to celebrate 7 years married next week! His other best man Dan on the left, also will be celebrating 6 years this June (the day before Jay and Mary), they have 1 son here, and are due with a little girl July 4th! We have pictures of the 6 of us at both of their weddings, and now one at ours. Talk about full circle :D
d.jpg

It was the end of the night and Disney could not get our crowd to leave!! All the lights were on, they were cleaning around us and yet our guests wouldnt GOOO! Vita told us she'd never seen a crowd be up on the dance floor ALL NIGHT as much as ours (maybe she was saying it to make us feel better). We all finally gathered up, and headed out to the Boardwalk to Jellyrolls. Walking with a crowd of people who've just had 5 hours of open bar on the boardwalk was PRICELESS. haha I SO wish I had my camera for that!!

Love all of your updates. The photo explosion is GREAT! You guys are a beautiful couple! glad they have done some things to make up for it and glad the photos helped you to love your flowers!

Thank you!! I looove all of our pictures, its going to be so hard to choose for our album (it was hard just choosing which ones to post here!) :) The next morning when my peonies opened and you could see them more, I really liked the bouquet. But the pictures show the bouquet the way I saw it the next morning, that day (does that make sense). I think it was my nerves, but really it was breathtaking! :goodvibes

Oh wow, Tricia, your photos are drop dead gorgeous!!! :goodvibes You must be so thrilled with them. I know you had a few problems on the day, but from looking at the photos, you'd never know it. Every part of the wedding looked incredible--I especially loved your dress, the bridesmaid dresses, the parasols, your cake, the centerpieces... Really everything looked fabulous! :cloud9: Congratulations on your marriage, and thanks so much for sharing the details and photos from your special day!

Wow, your pictures turned out so beautiful! You look gorgeous! I love the bridesmaid dresses, and they look so pretty with their parasols! I love love love the beach wedding, although I can't imagine how hot you all must have been!!

I'm sorry the flowers weren't exactly what you wanted but they look gorgeous in the pictures!

I CANNOT believe the DJ made all those mistakes! I don't blame Josh at all for being livid, that's ridiculous! I mean seriously, that's like the most important task he has for the night, how does he not get that right??

I LOVE your first look pictures and the pictures of the two of you alone on the boardwalk. You got some great pictures and you looked so pretty! I LOVE your dress, too.

And the ballroom, I love the setup you did with the long tables and the pink uplighting, very elegant and classy looking.

Congratulations!

Brooke

Your wedding was just beautiful! You can see the pure joy on both of your faces.

I love your bouquets and parasols. Your inspiration was gorgeous but while different, the actual bouquets were equally as pretty.

Wow! Your pictures are just gorgeous! We totally left our reception too to go take pics with the fireworks. Our WP knew about it and was totally fine. We told her to go ahead and have the food served while we were gone. Well, they served the salad, but not the main entree. So that didn't come out til 11! Oops! Only one person complained--my grandfather and he even took a picture of his watch to show how late it was!

I love how you used slow songs of couples at your wedding. My DH's twin is doing that at their upcoming wedding and I think it's so sweet...I wish I had thought of that!

WOW! I don't even know where to start, I'm behind.

The centerpieces and the pics of you two with balloons, I adore them! You were such a beautiful bride. Everything is just so beautiful. I love how well the bridesmaids dresses go with the groomsmen's suits. The colors are just so pretty. The parasols looked great and the beautiful breezy fabric on the chuppa is just so perfect.

I'm sorry to hear about the flowers not being what you expected, that would bother me too. I used the same inspiration pic myself. It is hard when you have your heart set on something particular and pay accordingly and then it is just wrong. The DJ stuff is really uncool too. I'm so happy they worked with you to give you a refund. I hope that in time you'll be able to look back without remembering that part and only the happy memories will remain.

Congrats on having such a beautiful wedding! I can seriously say that your wedding is one of the most beautiful that I've seen...so romantic.

Tricia,

Everything looked amazing! All your hardwork and planning clearly paid off. Wow! Justin and Mary took some gorgeous shots (Jennifer too!).

I remember reading about your DJ problem the morning after and reading the full detail of it was even worse than I had imagined. Paul is now convinced that we have to tell Chuck that our last name is clearly LANDRY not LAUNDRY! We get that alot with telemarketers and people who don't take the time to read it.

More, more!

I'm all caught up!!! Your pictures are just stunning!!! I love the bridal party pics on the beach!! I'm still mad about the DJ thing... and I don't blame Josh at all!! I'm with you on the picture advice. If you want something... get it, and get it early on!!

Just read through everything!!!! It looks like you all had a wonderful trip leading up to the wedding. I love the suicide comment about MK. It was really hard for us to keep our mouth shut and go along with what our guests wanted even when it didn't make sense. I guess that is just the Disney craziness in us!!! The kids looked like they were having so much, they are adorable. Ohanas looked like so much fun too, what a great idea!

I am so sorry your flowers were wrong but I have to say your bouquet was gorgeous! I know that probably doesn't matter because I would be livid too. You work so hard and have this picture in your head and then its wrong. Then to top it off the damn dj. I can't believe how bad he messed up. I hope they gave you some money back but I know how Disney is with that stuff!

Outside of those two things they day sounded wonderful. I love the pictures of you with the BMs on the beach with the parasoles. So pretty. The ceremony was so pretty despite the heat! The scenery is just gorgeous. I am glad to hear that once you got to the aisle you were able to take in the moment and not stress about what went wrong because you will never get that moment back. You and DH look so cute together and so in love :lovestruc Your pictures after the ceremony were just beautiful. I love the idea of cocktail hour at seabreeze point, must have been so nice. Oh and the Goonie drink, love it :)

So I don't understand why Vita would be mad that you left the reception for more pictures?! We left and went and did some pictures after we ate too and nobody said anything. I'm sorry you didn't get all the pictures you wanted but I think no matter what it is just to hard to get every photo with the amount of time given. There are so many photos I look back and wish I had gotten. The photos you did get on the Boardwalk are beautiful especially with the lights on and it starting to get dark outside. The rest of your reception looked awesome, everyone was having so much fun! Your cake was absolutely gorgeous!!!

Btw I would have been so irritated if the groomsmen were watching our photos. You need that alone time for a few minutes with how fast the day goes by. At least your photographer took care of the situation! Got to love how guys just don't understand!

Can't wait to hear about the rest of the trip and Aulani!!!

Thank you so much! :goodvibes I really so love the pictures, I could not be happier with them! I do love also that you can't tell things went wrong. Of course I want to give you girls an accurate report of everything, but most of our guests have no idea besides obviously the DJ. I do want to look back and talk about how amazing it was and not the things that went wrong

Thanks Brooke! It was definitely soo hot and we were so glad to have planned a short ceremony! It was so amazing to see. everything come together before our eyes. Definitely moments I'll never forget! Ugh the DJ. Unfortunately that is something I want to forget! I am so glad we went down to the Boardwalk, our photographers are so talented and had such a vision. We didn't give them any special requests for photos, we trusted their vision completely and I'm so so glad we did! It means so much you love the room setup, I wanted the long tables so much and for everything to line up and be symmetrical etc and really portray a classy little affair ;) I hope our guests felt that way when they entered the room too!

Your wedding was just beautiful! You can see the pure joy on both of your faces.

I love your bouquets and parasols. Your inspiration was gorgeous but while different, the actual bouquets were equally as pretty.

Thank you!! Our photographers asked us what we wanted our pictures to portray, and we told them we wanted our pictures to show how happy and in love we were that day, and I think they did exactly that. I love the small moments they captured and hope looking back on them in 20 or 40 years, we'll see the same glow! I agree now looking back, the actual bouquets were gorgeous too!

Wow! Your pictures are just gorgeous! We totally left our reception too to go take pics with the fireworks. Our WP knew about it and was totally fine. Thanks Andrea!! Man what a crock that your planner didn't mind! lol Maybe because we didn't tell her ahead of time? Who knows. But she totally followed us down to the Boardwalk (we were on the boat launch when she came down). Foiled. I do wish I just had ignored her and kept taking pictures, but oh well now! We snuck out for pictures at 8 because sunset was around then, so dinner came out shortly after 8 i think? We didn't get any complaints that I'm aware of.. hahaha. I was excited for the songs and loved surprising couples with their songs, it's something I had been wanting to do for awhile so I'm really glad at least some of the songs were played!

WOW! I don't even know where to start, I'm behind.

The centerpieces and the pics of you two with balloons, I adore them! You were such a beautiful bride. Everything is just so beautiful. Congrats on having such a beautiful wedding! I can seriously say that your wedding is one of the most beautiful that I've seen...so romantic.

Thanks Jilian! I love the pictures with the balloons too! It was a random thought I had and I might have been driving the photographers crazy adding in all these things, but I thought they would be cute. They were something like $30 for 6 balloons, but I think the pictures came out well with them!

We actually got so lucky having the grey match, I knew the suits were a light grey but never saw them in person (we got them through CA's and only ever talked through email prior to getting down there) Even the girls shoes were the right color to match them. The pink I sent a dress fabric sample to match the ties with! I remember you had the same inspiration bouquet! I do admit the actual bouquets they did have were very pretty too. I'm coming more to grips I guess you can say with the flowers, even though they weren't "right" they were still pretty. The DJ is another story. haha I hope we'll be able to look back and look over that part too, some day!

Tricia,

Everything looked amazing! All your hardwork and planning clearly paid off. Wow! Justin and Mary took some gorgeous shots (Jennifer too!).

More, more!

Thanks Bethie!! :goodvibes Jennifer did take some amazing shots, J&M too ;) I love them all!! I actually was looking through the pictures again from J&M and found a whole new set I didn't see before. HA! I am really going to have a hard time with our album! Yes, definitely make sure your DJ knows your last name.. lol Chuck I've heard is great and I wish we'd gotten him - actually you know what? I saw on Rev Tim's page he congratulated another couple that got married 5/5 also (not twinsie or me) and they had DJ Chuck I think. but when I asked if he was avail he said he had a non-disney wedding. Maybe that fell through and this other couple got him. Foiled! But apparently our DJ never had a problem like this either, so I guess it's just luck of the draw. :rolleyes1

I'm all caught up!!! Your pictures are just stunning!!! I love the bridal party pics on the beach!! I'm still mad about the DJ thing... and I don't blame Josh at all!! I'm with you on the picture advice. If you want something... get it, and get it early on!!

Thanks Deena! Yep, still too soon to not be mad about the DJ here too :rotfl: When we first got back from HI I told people it was still "too soon" and not to bring it up. hahaha

Just read through everything!!!! It looks like you all had a wonderful trip leading up to the wedding. I love the suicide comment about MK. Can't wait to hear about the rest of the trip and Aulani!!!

Thanks Ash! Love your very detailed response, thanks for taking the time to do that! :yay: For real, going to the MK at noon is park suicide. Especially thinking you wont have to wait for rides. ughhh. hahaha but oh well!! You're right we just had to let it go and let them enjoy. I know it'll be time before they come back and we'll be back soon! Ohana's was a blast, we were so so happy we chose to have the RD there!

I love looking at the ceremony pictures too, everything looks so put together. I guess all my crazy planning and changing my mind a million times paid off. haha I still haven't told Josh I upgraded the chairs, and he hasnt said a word about noticing a difference, of course. lol But I'm really glad I bit the bullet and did it! Part of me wishes we stopped at SBP for cocktails, and I thought the tables would be set up inside the structure, but they were actually on the lawn in front of it, hm. Regardless, it looked pretty and was definitely unique which I loved!

Really, your planner didn't mind either? What is up with Vita then? haha You and Andrea both didn't have problems. boooo.. I'm actually glad to hear you say you still look back and wish you'd gotten more. It's more when I see other peoples pictures that I want more, but I think the ones we have reflect us and our wedding, just like yours do for you. Definitely happy with the ones we have!

It is crazy to me it looks like it was daylight in the ballroom, with the photographers crazy lighting set up I guess? That room was almost pitch black, like dark and only really candlelight. when I first saw them I was like whoa! hahaha

Yes, the guys! So slow.. haha why would they think we would want them there, helloooo. Oh well! Definitely glad we were able to get away on our own ;)

Next up: A small tidbit from Jellyrolls, back to the BC then off to the Poly the next morning! :goodvibes Thank you ALL for reading!!! :dance3:

 Your pics are just AMAZING!!! I'm glad you and Josh had such a wonderful relationship with your photographers. I think that's very important, and we didn't have that at all. That's my fault though, so we won't get into that!

-My heart seriously broke from the look on Josh's face!!! :sad2: How damn hard is it to repeat someone's name?!?!? He looks like he could kill someone. You look like "AHHHHH... let me laugh this off before I **** a brick!!!" I'm glad you guys were able to recover for some awesome first dance pics!!!!
-I'm totally jealous of the closeness you two have with your bridal party!! You can tell how much everybody loves yall, and how happy they are for yall!!!
-Your reception looks like it was FANTABULOUS!!! (yes, that great!) Even if you didn't post all of the pics I saw on Facebook!! ;) Let's just say if I'd been there, I would've made sure I had some dollar bills!!! :rotfl2:
-I read your photogs blog post about yall playing their song...I cried! Just sayin'!!!
-I totally feel you on the pic in front of The Boardwalk. We wanted a pic out there as well, and we didn't get it either. I'm so bitter that I take a pic of it every single time we park at there!!
-I love your cake.. but I'm going to ask, because sometimes I'm just slow! Is it supposed to resemble flowers or coral reef (for your beach theme)?? It could go either way!! :rotfl: Don't hit me!!
-I was very impressed with the ninja cake guy!!! He seems to just appear! (even though I have him in several pics standing off to the side at our wedding!)

I'm ready for more now!!! :goodvibes I want to hear about Jellyrolls. We've never been!

Just caught up on your trip report Tricia, wow!

I love the photos of you and your girls with the parasols, and with josh holding your shoes.

Everything looks stunning and I'm sorry to read about the few things Disney messed up for you :( that dj?!

We also have rev jack so I'm glad to read you liked him, and Ohana is the bestest rehearsal dinner choice IMO :thumbsup2

Look forward to reading more!
