Judging from your pics (which are awesome btw) it really doesn't look too busy at all. I've only been to Mickeys Halloween Party out here in DL and it's always sold out every single night and sooo crowded, I would love to go to an early
MNSSHP one year but we always go in December. Great report, looking forward for more!
Thanks! I have my DH to thank for most of the pics in this TR.
I would love to see DL decorated for Halloween! Maybe one year. I'm sure the parties there are much more heavily attended than the ones in WDW.
We have done MNSSHP a few other times, and even on nights that weren't sold out, the crowds weren't as light as this party was. We have always gone in October though, this was our first time in September so that probably helped.
I'm in for the read
You have the cutest boy and looks like he was having a fun time
Welcome!!
Thank you so much. He absolutely loved this trip! It was the perfect time to take him.
Looks like a fun party! We liked the Tiki Room treat trail too...stopped to sit in the A/C for a bit (I'm guessing it was hotter at our party than yours). Fun "mine, mine, mine" costumes! And, wow, that CM must be exhausted by the end of his shift!
The Tiki Room trick or treat spot is a favorite of ours. So fun to walk through an attraction to get some candy!
We saw lots of cute costumes, but those seagulls were cracking me up!
I thought the same thing! He seemed to have endless energy!!
Makes sense. Everybody wants to ride it on a party night.
It's definitely a big draw for the party! They really spook it up in that area.
Yeah... of course.
Now they have Moana...
I'm still scratching my head over this one. It makes zero sense with the popularity of Moana that they would only have her available on party nights and not have a permanent M&G for her.
They wouldn't even miss one of those boxes, would they?
I wouldn't think so! Don't think DH wasn't tempted...
That's great. I'm glad it turned out so well.
It was a very pleasant surprise, that's for sure.
He thinks he's going to be brave enough for the Mummy, but doesn't want to ride BTMRR?
My argument with him exactly!!
That does sound really crammed together. I don't understand their logic on the timing of some of these things.
Yeah, it doesn't make any sense to me. I think it was really nicely paced how they had it last year, even though the parade was a little bit later than it had been previous years. There was still some time between the first parade and the fireworks instead of having them back to back.
wow!
your pictures are so clear and just perfect.
kind of like what you see on postcards...
Thanks so much! All thanks to my DH. Any crappy iPhone quality photos are likely ones I took.
Pleasant surprise to hear that the weather wasn't too bad for you guys. I worried with it being September that it would still be ridiculously hot and humid.
I know you didn't like the late parade time, but for what it's worth, you accomplished a lot in that span of time between the start of the party and finding a spot to watch the parade! Sorry to hear DS wouldn't ride Big Thunder, though. That really would've been the perfect lead-in to the Universal rides!
I was absolutely DREADING the weather! I came as prepared as I could since we had limited packing space with cooling towels. We never even used them! I'm glad I didn't have room to pack the misting fans because I was planning to bring them along too and it would have been a waste of suitcase space.
We really did! So I can't complain too much. But it was definitely ideal at parties past.
I thought so too, but he didn't agree. It would have been easy to get on too because the line was very short all night.
