I love credit cards so much! v6.0 - 2023 (see first page for add'l details)

Has anyone ever linked your Chase UR personal accounts with your Chase UR business accounts? I have just been doing a secure message to transfer points, but recently got a response that I could link the accounts. Just curious if there is any downside to doing this? A message popped up that said by linking accounts, I would be giving sub users access, but I’m not concerned about that as I don’t have any sub users. My biggest concern is if it would affect future applications with Chase, because all of the accounts would be visible, but they should have access to all of that anyway, right? Just want to make sure there isn’t any reason not to link the accounts before I do it? TIA
You can link them using the App, I can't remember if you have to do it from your personal or business account but it shouldn't be too difficult to figure it out using google. I haven't encountered any downsides, all the cards will appear in your business login, you won't see the business cards in your personal login. I have 6 business cards and 5 personal cards.

All mine are linked, and DH's are as well. I like being able to login and pay everything in one account, or transfer URs between the biz and personal cards. I haven't seen any downsides. Well, one minor inconvenience... DH has so many cards that they just show in a list now, without showing the detail. Just a line, like it's minimized, but it's not. This is only because there's so many cards, it can't show the detail for all, lol.

I stayed in a Cambria in Minneapolis a few years ago and it was very nice. Along the lines of an Aloft or Hyatt Place. Not 5 stars but more than serviceable. For restaurants, Houdini's Escape just south of downtown, Fox River Brewery over by the mall. Any specific types of foods you're interested in? I will ask my wife who grew up here and spends more time in Appleton, I'm sure she'll have some other recommendations.
We’re not picky, any recs welcome. We will be with a group of 13-14 yo boys though and have heard a request for Buffalo Wild Wings “because they’re better in Wisconsin” 😂

I have a CIC that I’m about half way through the $6000 spend so I have to figure out where to spend $3000 in the next 10 days as I’ll be leaving for Europe soon and won’t use it there due to foreign transaction fees. I’m heading to my Office max this morning to purchase some gift cards. Can they also be purchased on line and get the 5x points? I usually buy Disney gift cards at Kroger when they’re doing 4x fuel points and I’m getting additional rewards back from AmEx or CF if grocery stores are being bonused. I’ll even consider Visa cards if I can find them in higher amounts so the fee won’t sting as bad. No Staples near me though I can make a trip there if any promotion comes out next week. Open to any suggestions.

Well I got a call from DE yesterday and answered it. Turned out to be Barclay calling about the Wyndham Biz app I put in, LOL. They were like we see 6 inquiries in the last 12 months, can you tell us why? HA! In the end they approved me w/ $1500 CL. I love that they always give me such a little limit. My AA biz was $1500 and my JB biz is $1500. It's only a $2k spend I think. So I'll hit that! Anyone know how fast it takes to update your Wyndham acct to diamond? I want to jump on the casino status matches :)
I think it took 2 days for Wyndham to show Diamond. However, I am at almost 6 weeks waiting for the Caesars match. I chatted with them on Facebook twice. The first time after 2 weeks and they said it can take that long and should show up any day. Again at 5 weeks and they said they could see Wyndham had confirmed my status so it should be any day :/ Friday will be a week since that message and if it isn't showing up then I am going to be really irritated...lol I was hoping to get to AC for the other status matches soon.

More and more airports are going to the same type of setup that MCO has, there is one line for Pre with Clear and one for Pre without. In some airports, MSP, ATL in particular, it is faster to go through Pre without Clear than it is Pre with Clear.

Personal Gold does not have a Precheck/GE benefit. I get it from my Navy Federal Flagship and my Delta Platinum.
I have pre with Clear and usually travel out of ATL. The regular pre line is so much shorter than the pre with Clear. I got the Clear free from the plat and because of the situation in ATL, I wouldn't pay for it. But it just depends on the situation were you typically fly out of.

DH and I still have ours separate but I've been thinking of combining our biz and personal accounts. DH has so many personal Chase cards that his list in the row like you're talking about and it's annoying to me as the family accountant. I like to easily see what account is what without knowing the last 4 digits of each card and what they correspond to. Minor inconvenience but something to be aware of.

Yes, as family accountant, I also find this super annoying!! I liked being able to see the different accounts with detail and what card it corresponds to, now I just have to go through clicking them all til I have the right one, lol.

Login with your business account. Go to profile and settings and then the account settings dropdown. There will be an option to manage linked accounts. From here you should see your personal accounts and you can link them to your business login.

I just remembered (oops) that i have just over 100k avios.

I cannot even remember now why I accrued them!

I have no plans for any sort of travel in the foreseeable future that isn't paid for by work.

Any brilliant ideas? Hate to see things go to waste... *sigh*

Are you still able to status match to Hyatt?

Are you still planning to go to Japan? West coast to Japan is 77,250 Avios one-way in biz on JAL.

They don't expire as long as you have activity every 36 months.

Whaaaat
How did I not know about that? Maybe too focused on ANA (I mean I do still have all the Virgin miles sitting around, too)
I honestly had kind of given up on Japan (at least getting there in Biz or First)...
I am a good churner as far as accumulating things but not very good at redeeming for "good stuff"

Aerlingus is 100k RT for biz class, LOL. Just don't go during a nor'easter :(

Are you still able to status match to Hyatt?
Yes and no. You have to go through AC now to get the match via MGM. You do Wyndham to Ceasars, then Ceasars to Hard Rock to Ocean One (I think that is the name) to MGM Gold to Hyatt. I'm okay going that route (we can non-rev to philly), and excited for the free Wynn nights that gets you too!

I have been wondering about transferring like this -- I have corporate AMEX points that I can transfer to Marriott (Bonvoy) and from Marriott to United. Will that work in my favor that way??

PHX-OGG (Maui) 1 way non-stop 13k Avios in economy on AA. At 26k RT you have enough for almost 4RT tickets. I’m currently obsessed with how affordable Maui is on points from PHX. 😜

Went in to Office Max and found a gift card called Pack and Go which had multiple redemption places including Abnb. I tried $25. Going back tomorrow to add more to my Abnb account. I also purchased 5 $100 Amazon gift cards. I’m not a big Amazon shopper but DD is so I’ll put a few in an Easter basket for her family. I also purchased an Uber gift card online from the office Max website but they are through a 3rd party so looks like I won’t be getting 5x back. 😢 Still, a good spend towards my CIC SUB.

My Barclays AA biz card has turned into a nightmare. I never received a statement, so I called on Saturday and the automated response said my payment was due on Friday. I had to call Barclays again to get their mailing info so I could set them up to be paid from my Chase account. The Barclays CSR agreed to waive the interest charge on the account since I never received a statement.

Today I get a call from Barclays saying that my account is in arrears -- I tell them that it was paid in full on the 20th (and confirmed on the Chase website that I did in fact pay it). Barclays assured me that the payment had not been received. I then called Chase and the CSR tells me that the automated payment that was put through my bank account was rejected by Barclays today (does it really take 3 days in the age of computers for a payment to be rejected?) and that Chase would be issuing a cheque, mailing it today and Barclays should have by the 27th. I'm like, what? How does Chase not know that Barclays doesn't take payments online and why would it take 3 days for them to figure that out? Chase refuses to take any accountability and instead recommends that I set up bills to be paid 14 days in advance of the due date to avoid this happening again or give Barclays access to my bank account so they can take funds when payment is due (no way that's happening as this card was strictly for the SUB, which has been met, plus no one has access to my bank account but me). I'm very frustrated as I never miss a credit card payment (as long as I receive a statement and usually even if I don't). Will Barclays ding my credit score?

No experience with corporate MRs, is it still 1 to 1 Marriott? Marriott to United, there is a 10k bonus for every 60k you transfer. 60k Marriott would be 30k United. 60k MR to 30k United doesn't seem great to me, but maybe there are specific cases where it would make sense.

Did you make separate transactions? I wish my OD would let me make multiple transactions.
