@Lain - you make a very solid case for returning to Hawaii with those amazing photos you posted. Thanks for sharing. It's been too long, but DD will only be home between xmas and NY and I didn't even want to try to get there during that week since I know what happens to prices then.

Guys, this is a game changer!

There’s now a Starbucks in the shopping center across from Aulani! No mobile ordering (yet?) though. Of course, Island Vintage Coffee still has great hipster coffee along with their delicious açaí bowls, but no savings with Starbucks stars or discounted gift cards.

If they just have tricycles, then they could go up to actual bicycles.

how about a swinget or trampoline?
I bought a Princess (Disney) bicycle when the first was just under one. It's on the patio (they were just here for lunch with their Mom) and they get on the tricycles and don't bother with the bicycle. It came with training wheels, has a Cinderella coach for a basket, and all the cute stuff, streamers, bell, etc. They also have a motorized jeep and a coupe at home, plus more bikes and a set of tricycles. Too much stuff! We had lunch and tea on the patio today, even though it's a bit cool because they love running around my back yard. They filled the bird feeders twice, pulled along a little wagon, crawled around on the deck under my pagoda shelter - I keep it lowered when not using to protect it from wind, but they can stand up in it when it's down.

A swingset will be perfect for next summer, but we will need one for both houses. Younger daughter already has dibs on buying that. My neighbors have a trampoline (for kids) that they are welcome to use anytime.

Anyway, while writing this, the phone rang and the girls want 'anything Peppa Pig'. So, Amazon is filled with options at the moment so I'll order a couple of playsets and some figures, and then fill in from there. Costco also has the Wellie Wishers dolls - not sure I want to buy those but I know they will play with them.

Random question out of curiosity: has anyone ever bought anything from the Magic Candle Company advertised on here? I see they have a Banshee scent and I love FOP so I wonder if it’s any good.
I haven't bought any but know some who have and they like them enough they keep ordering so I think that's a good sign. Pete also wouldn't have them as a sponsor if he didn't like and use the product.

If it doesn't show, there should be a promo code that you can probably find on the disunplugged board. I think there's a thread.

We’re still paying rack rates (until I can convince DW to buy DVC 😂), but we’re in an Island Gardens view room this time. The last pic is not a pic of the view from our room, but the hallways near the elevators have floor to ceiling windows and cushy chairs to enjoy these wonderful views. I imagine you’d get these views with an Ocean view room. But there are lots of places around the resort with great views. This was from the 11th floor this morning. There are 16 floors. I’ll see if I can get a picture from our room balcony later this afternoon. We’re overlooking the resort homes around Ko Olina and the golf course, and a ridge of the Waianae mountains in the distance.
Seems like you guys go enough that she would be onboard with purchasing.

I just got my grandma a few candles and air fresheners as a gift. I’m not a candle person, but my grandma is and she loves all the scents I got her. She says the Banshee one smells just like FOP. We also got her beach resort, Floridian Christmas, flying over orange groves, Christmas shop, bakery and the confectionary. She loves them all and she says they all remind her of Disney. I haven’t gotten the chance to smell them yet lol

When I bought my Delta gift card, the credit somehow didn't apply to the same statement as charge. So now I have a negative $50 balance on my Delta CC. Can I SM and ask to move that credit to another AMEX card that has a positive balance?

I appreciate all the advice on AK cruises so far! Looks like we did identify one on NCL that works for us, so we are checking some details and may book today or.tomorrow for Aug 2020.

Someone mentioned you can book direct with the cruise line.and then transfer the booking to Chase to apply UR. Can anyone share details about how I would go about that? And tips or potential pitfalls?
oops! I meant that’s no longer possible with Disney cruises, still possible with most other cruise lines.

I have nothing to help with your flights (sorry!) but compression stockings are amazing for long haul flights (and I’ve done them all in coach/economy). I picked mine up at Walgreens but they sell them lots of places including Amazon. I’m fine for 4-6 hr flights but anything longer and I wear them.
    Which brand do you recommend?
